Thank you so much for posting this. MCs lyrics are so deep and so beautiful! I have been so blessed by his ministry. Years ago he came to our college and I interviewed him for the school newspaper. I hadn't thought that he would actually agree to letting a nobody interview him so I had not prepared any good questions. I was totally shocked when he agreed to be interviewed, but he was very gracious. I am still a bit embarressed to remember how poorly prepared I was, though! God bless him!

He is not like those rock'n'roll musicians that have groupies, or like Tiger Woods. Michael Card is a great role model. I heard that he was offered sex after a show once but he applied: "To be unfaithful to my wife is to be unfaithful to the Lord!" That shows true commitment to his faith.He must be a wonderful person.

There are not even backup singers in this clip--all the musicians in this concert are world class--Phil Keaggy, Chenoa Sykes, John Catchings, Phil Nash, Steve Green, Sara Groves, etc. If you listen to "In the Studio" (I have all 345 programs on my hard drive, over 100 of which I've indexed), you should know that it's all about community--each has unique gifts.

That is totally the phrase I thought was in the song back when I was a kid. Actually, probably a teen. Never thought it made much sense, but hey, poetic license, right? Wasn't till years later that I figured it out: It's a descriptor because Jesus is "love, crucified" who then "arose". Now it makes sense.
