AoS and the older versions are very different. A new player is missing out if they don't try both for at least a month. I prefer AoS just because I love selling junk on vendors and collecting items and never PvPd, though I do miss running from reds sometimes...

3. Cheaters= people who hacked into the game took away the whole purpose of the game. People who bought gold by other cheaters made it so that you didn't have to work your way through the game, not understanding the journey it took to become rich.

5 The constant patches that you had to pay for rather than just download for free.
"Before gating" ? WTF are you talking about? There is no "before gating". It's an integral feature of the Ultima series, since like number 5. There was never a time when it wasn't in UO.
Sorry, but in the earlier days of UO there definitely was an exploration element.. not everyone was a caster either... so *gasp* you had to walk.. at least as far as the local moon gate. TBH; it's the one thing I really missed about early on UO was in fact that experience of having to walk a bit through the woods (before the player housing blights anyway)

UO KR adresses a mojority of the irritations with macros and functionality that 2d players have long griped over unfortunately it is bloatware and requires 3 times the power to run. I have an amd athalon dualcore with 2 gig of ram and it STILL runs slow. I will never switch from 2d and if they force me off 2d i'll be playing stargate worlds.
do ppl actually play the king od all games hell yes uo owns wow even if its just shit on top of shit all wow did was take uo add graphics and slap a lvling system on it o well when darkfall comes out WoWs time will be over and it will be the new king of games with it is fpsrpg build citys build empires build ships in 3d better graphics then wow and skill system not some cheesy leveling system
Ive never played UO before.. prehaps i got into MMO's a little late and UO now looks to old to play, but i will play UO:KR for sure! EA are doing REALLY good these days, probably because of Mythic.
I think KR is a great step for Uo lovers and for new *smart* players also. I'm so bored of World of Crapcraft where you play *clones* whichever class you choose.
Yes, I noticed this too... it seems they upped the graphics, but didn't fix the network code. I play UO still and the rubber banding and the entire lagginess of ALL servers is getting rather annoying. If they do not address server lat issues, the image UO will be reborn in will be failure, and that coming from a long time player.
Your viewing an unfinished product... I am in Beta testing right now and its already alot better than what you see here now, and they are still adding and adjusting shitloads every week.
i dont like the new huge changes..Like in ML all they did was add new housing,items,monsters,and a new race.but this game is a huge change i dont like that.
Kingdom Reborn sucks. I still play with the original, 2d graphics.

you can actually macro those spells to 1 - 0 and have a bar system, you were just hurt I believe. A graphics upgrade was very much appreciated.

Things that destroyed UO:
1.Creating Trammel= This made it so most people fled there for safety and the element of the unknown was removed from the game.
2. Gating= Before gating people needed to walk places which meant that you never knew who you were going to meet along the way.

Yeah the player housing turned a lot of the wilderness into a big shanty town, was one of the factors that started to put me off UO.
