  • Im not sure if anyone wants to know, or if the author wants to know. But I am quite sure this is a very well know Tyer, Charlie Craven. He has books out, which are good sellers in the tying comm. They sell well at my Flyshop. With that, the ridiculous speed, accuracy, and quality is not so hard to believe. 2:13 for a copper john - VERY Nice!!

  • Nice video but instead of cutting the wire, try twisting it around the vertex so that you won't damage your scissors.

  • I used a separate pair of wire scissors for cutting the wire...much faster and no damage to my good scissors. Watch closely;-)

Standard Copper John recipe as follows: Hook: Tiemco 5262 Bead: Gold Tungsten Weight: Lead Wire Tail: Brown Goose Biots Abdomen: Brassie Sized Copper UTC Wire Flashback: Single Strand of pearl Flashabou Wingcase: Black Thinskin Thorax: Peacock Herl Legs: Hen Saddle Fibers Overcoat (missing in the video) : 5 minute epoxy over the wingcase
