I watched the live telecast of this back in 2007 and I actually think that Riyo Mori deserved to win MU 2007. Honey Lee was a 1st runner up material but got disappointed with her q&a. THEN, watch Riyo. i do agree with you guys that she's not physically the prettiest, there's a lot of gorgeous girls that would make a better face for the whole miss universe name; but you need to realize you don't win miss universe just because you have the face of Helen.

no she is not the most physically sensual and most appealing to everyone, but... in 2007 she was the most endearing, the one that command attention when she walks into the room, the most well balanced (amazing swimsuit body, a Gucci evening gown that isnt even in the store yet, great answering and wit, and personality to match), she was so well-deserved
