Here's the straight truth about driving in China:

It is absolutely... INSANE!!!! I couldn't believe the things I saw happening around me every day! OTOH, the Chinese drivers are remarkably good at narrowly averting tragedy... most of the time.

I lived in china many years ago. And there were tons of accidents. When driving into town you might spot 2 or 3 on a single day. All pretty serious, like flipped cars and debris everywhere.
