I think Static/Virgil should be played by upcoming actor Dawayne Jordan. He has done lots of tv shows and two movies..including being a combat fighter extra in G.I. Joe. He looks just like static and the costume team could dress him with dreadlocks. I think richie should be played by Michael Cera or Zac Efron or Adrien Grenier. Robert Patteson should play the villian.

@Dhollywood nooo dawayne is way to old realize in the comics virgil is 14-15 years old the least we can is have a character who is a at the age of 16 and they should choose some with dreads or long hair already i still say leon thomas but if not then who......?

@thegame1321 no you should not cast any character just because they have dreadlocks. they already cast Dawayne and I can't say much else about it. anybody with a young look can play the role. voronica Mars was 25 or 26 when she filmed her last episode for the season. It also don't matter about the dreadlocks because thats what the make up team is for. they put fake hair on actors all the time. Richie may not become "Gear" in the first movie, not until the sequel that is.
