@samett69xxx There are so many Duncan models and also several EMG models that it's hard to answer that question. Personally I prefer Duncans. However you can't really lose cause pickups can be swapped later. I do pickup changes on my guitars all the time to find the right sound.

@butterknucklez It's a Jackson Star. The original design was a Charvel Star but they changed the name to Jackson around late 86. Nowadays you can get both brands. IIRC it was designed by EVH.

The model is available only via custom shop. It's a Star shape but neck-thru and with short scale. I didn't design the shape but I put all the specs together.

Dave's Jacksons were made of poplar up until the Y2KV model. He did have a couple of Korina KVs earlier. Those are easy to spot cause they are not painted. His Y2KVs were made of mahogany.
