  • So what if he is on the shitter... Best friggn place to jam. Good acoustics. the wife isn't screaming in your damn ear and you can drop the "Cosby Kids" off at the swimming pool as your playing !@!

  • your voice is really good...you have to try to sing more...thats ok bro!

  • nice dude... i like your version too...

Overall very good and I like your version

    Just a suggestion

  • awesome man....I can only dream.....

  • I found the music for wild horses a few year back at a bookstore. the rolling stones singles collection-the london years 1991.

  • The music for wild horses is in the rolling stones-singles collection- the london years. 1991. I got it from a bookstore a while back.

  • Sounds good man..could you by chance tell me which strings are being plucked in which order during the progressions?

  • no, I cant do that.

  • many thanks It help me a lot

  • Nice playing,,,I wonder how the acoustics would sound from inside the tub with the curtain pulled..

  • I like this way of teaching. just watch it over and over till you get familiar with it. then try it. the way you do it sounds amazing

  • You are Fab!! Its just what i have been waiting for.

  • You are fab!! Its just what I have been trying to find

  • Thats pretty awesome :) Bloody barred F chord is like finger gymnastics yarrrrrr!

  • nice job

  • Dude, are you sitting on the shitter????? LMAO

  • Sitting on a kitchen chair.

The camera is sitting on the back of the shitter.

  • i dont know what the hell youre finger picking.

you remind me of my friend thomas playing guitar.

he's like "look.. [insane guitar playing]" "now do that"

    uhhh yeaaaaahh..not gunna work.

    good job though!

  • I'm not finger picking. I do that all with a flat pick.

  • wrong description of what you were doing i was high

    flat picking then, either way...

horrid tutorial for a beginner or intermediate

    excellent playing though.

  • Such a cool self-effacing guy.

  • I'm not even sure what that means!

  • Nice Work !

  • nice hat

  • you wouldnt be able to tell me what strings you pluck while you have the chords in place?

  • I see you have the same elaborate studio that I have. (bathroom) Great accoustics - great playinf.

  • wow...i love this acoustic version. I wish i was talented enough to play this on my guitar, lol. I'm just getting the "plucking" thing down..and i wouldnt dare post a video of me doing it...atleast not yet. Great job..its beautiful.

  • Neglecting to add below that after that hammer you go to the Bm for the start of the verse.

  • could you show us the intro pleeeaaase

  • I don't do an "intro".

What you see is what you get,

What I play differs greatly from the 'Stones version.

  • i know i play it the same way.dosent the stones play it in another tuning

  • It's back and forth Am7 and G and you end it back on G and hammer on the A string from the open A onto a B then hit the open D note.

  • good job, thanks for posting this.

    The picking is difficult, though

  • i am the same way. Bruce Lee once said "Don't think, feel." I get inspiration from many places and your vid has helped me gain some ideas for how i would like to play this song. Thx for posting.

  • you make that song sound so beautiful! not that it wasn't beautiful to begin with... I love this song soooo much!

...btw - yre quite cute =*]

  • too fast u should teach the chords too

  • They are all first position chords.

If you need help with basic chord fingerings, google "guitar chord chart"

  • Hey thanks a lot man. You're a good teacher. Keep it up.

  • Man thanks a lot that helped soo much.

  • A: I love how your in your bathroom

B: I love how you put funny comments up while your playing

C: I don't know what your talking about your a BEAUTIFUL singer!

    Kick. Ass.

  • that was really cool. i never played that song and within 20 minutes i was playing it almost as good as you. its a great version of a great song. many thanks

  • you are a much better singer than a guitarist?

no professional will use commonly the same way to take the G accord like you? you have to let your littlefinger free? this is to learn off something --> to start anew. I was

50 years old. it took me 3 years. still not good? it had been easyer if I never had learned it the "wrong way"? I say with "-" because you can do both. but the one is elementary. so strike a new match!

    good luck! Einar

  • you sir....are a moron...since when did "professionals" stop using the pinky?why dont you go another 50 yrs w/o ever posting a dumb ass reply to a video like that...you douche!!3 yrs to learn "not" to use your pinky...my god i hope that is a joke

  • I'm not even sure what the hell the guy is talking about? I take it you made at least some sense out of his post? I think I can replace his Question marks with periods and it makes more sense.

What pinky? I use my pinky in my chord fingerings, something I MUST do since I have small hands.

And I'm not using my pinky on my right hand, which makes sense considering Im a flat picker!

  • yeah def replace the ?"s w/ .. and its atleast semi-understandable.i love how he called it elementary...dont feel bad though bro..these folks on here will dog on anybody.i seen folks doggin richards himself playin his own tunes...buy 'em books, send em to school.they still end up talkin' dumb shit on youtube...lol

  • slash rarely uses his pinky.....there are others....

  • Nice

  • you rock

  • That's almost exactly how I play it myself. I'm going to cover this song someday. Can't wait.

    Thanks for this

  • Great !!! fantastic !!

  • One Helluva Right HAND!... FANTASTIC! gonna see what else you do if it is allright? I think the singing was good! SING MORE DAMMIT!

  • excellent play,i will never like u though

  • You do a bit of picking with your left-hand inbetween the chord changes... what are you doing:P? It sounds great! Please explain:).

  • great teaching methods!!

  • what version is that?

  • stay cool dude you a great guitar player . I only wish I could follow/ keep up with you.

  • Turn a light on.

  • dude im having trouble focusing on the music? are you sitting on the shiter?

  • No. I pulled a chair in there.

Im not sitting on the shitter.

  • ur in ur washroom lol

  • better acoustics in there. :D

  • thx man, was looking for the basic chord changes for a new band and your video was great and useful

(should have sang more, you sound good

  • god bless man theres loads of tab avail.sounds nice, listen to the song ,then learn it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • Hes in the bathroom not for the acoustics, but so the wife dont smell the pot smoke.

  • wrong tuning

  • Q: How many guitar players does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

A: 2. I to screw it in, the other to tell him he's doing it wrong.

  • he's playing in standard tuning Keith the greatest plays this in G , those are great standards chords nice but um! if it is to be exact play in G. It would be great to paint exactly like Turner, I am sure Jojbuzzer will give me a ten for my answer, but it is nice bud

  • Yeah, thanks.

This is still done in the same key (G) that the 'Stones did it.

The only difference is that this isnt supposed to sound anything at all like the Stones' version.

  • yeah sorry I know it is in G I meant open G alternate tuning, they play in so many tunings its brain blowing and the one version he does in open G are all mind blowing cords , but you play really well thanks rock on Bud thanks

    regards

    CRAIGO

  • dude! I love it! pls pls pls tab it!

  • Thanks but if you wanna teach ,teach right ,this song is in open G tunning, you should try it,sounds like the Real stuff.

  • Have a nice day.

  • Post your "Open G" version, or any acoustic video for that matter, so we may fairly compare your expertise in "Teaching Right". Technically correct or not, this is a great cover version of the tune. I am looking forward to hearing your's.

  • good job,i want play with you

  • do us all a favour and tab it out..be a doll would ya?

  • you rock dude!!!

  • Is there any way you could write out the right hand pattern for people who can't catch it just by watching?

  • gil tarao

  • Dude...you own!

  • light would have been great haha..anyway awesome job

  • yeah this is how sundays play it or how you want to play it solo. playing it in open tuning is a two guitar arrangement. how richards and wood? played it originally for the stones. both are correct but the open way adds some really cool depth if you know someone else who can play.

  • Great picking, astonishing sound from your Seagull, thanks for lesson.

  • I play Wild Horses like this too.

Tabs for THIS version may still be on line (fuck the MPA to hell!), check the tabs for the Sunday's cover of this tune; they play it like this, and they do a nice version of the tune BTW.

  • The song is in tabs in music books with the version you are playing in standard tuning. The original recording is in an open tuning which others on Youtube have correct.

  • Are you trying to tell me that I am playing this wrong?

  • There are 3 guitars playing on the track. One in standard tuning, which you are playing; another in an open G tuning, which plays all the cool fills; and the last in Nashville tuning. But you are playing the correct chords.

  • To inform you, I am not playing this "wrong"

It is my way. Check out the key word, "rendition".

There is a little riddle that comes to mind...

  • Q: How many guitar players does it take to screw in a light bulb?

A: 2. One to screw it in, the other to tell him he is screwing it in wrong.

I hate the guys who try and tell me how to screw in a light bulb.

  • I hate guys who screw it in wrong and tell others that they are doing it right.

  • Love it. But for us playing along it would be even better if chord names came up just a little earlier, before we go into the chord, for us to know which one to go into in advance. Catch my drift?

  • Can you read? I said you were playing the right chords. Maybe you should teach us how to play, Blue Collar Man by Styxs.

  • where can i find on the Tube a video of the open tuning chords ? I've been looking for a long time and never found it! thanx

  • Check out my favorites.

  • I meant a lesson of wild horses, or sort of, but with the open tuning chords... the original one unplugged i checked it out yet thanx anyway if you have any idea

  • Thank you a lot. Been trying to play this song for quite a while now. This really helps. Please add more stones! :)

  • i used to make a song my own but it takes many years to add your own feeling into it, just a gues but i bt youve been playin that for a while?

  • I have been playing this somg this way for about 5 years now.

  • May I ask what strings you are using?

I have an electro acoustic myself but with the strings I get, they sound dull very soon and I have probs making hammer ons ring out properly.

    Thanks again.

  • I use D'addario .011 to .052 phospher bronze.

The guitar is a Seagull Artist Mosaic CW with a solid cedar top.

  • This is really good! I can play the song myself (although not as good as you) but its just good to see people willing to help others out.

btw people, before asking for tab I urge you just to listen to song and try it for yourself first :)

  • Again, Thanks NoFear. It really is easy. You would be surprised how many requests for Tab that I received for my full version of this song.

Another thing that surprised me was how many people now play this song MY WAY! notice it isn't too similar to the Stone's version.

  • Yeah i can play the chords but im not very good at linking them up well with the picking bits.

    Good stuff :)

  • your version is great as a solo piece without a lead guitar! im learning it now. on a 12 string tho it sounds really great thanks allot!

  • This is great man. I love Wild Horses one of the most beautiful sad love songs I've ever heard. Great job on the guitar keep it up.

  • Thanks. That was great.

  • That's pretty impressive. Have you ever tried it finger-picking? I bet you could tear that up.

  • Some of the subtitles are a little off, and I apologize for that. I didnt review the video before I released it. It will appear goofy to you.
