War has been around as long as people have. No matter what you believe in, be it Christianity, Judaism, Evolution, Islam, or even some BS made up religion. If some group wants to take away your freedom to believe what you want, 9 times out of ten you start a war with that group.
Also, I'm glad those soldiers have a way to cool off some steam too, they deserve it.

We would gladly develop ourselves if Israel gave some of the land it took back. You have the majority of Old Palestine, but you only use 10% of it. The rest of it used to be inhabited by us, but is currently empty. Why not allow us to live there in peace? Why do you hold on to it?

And statistically, the majority of the Palestinian people were literate and educated.

They were almost entirely uneducated. it was their ignorance that allowed neighboring countries to take advantage of them in 1948 and convince them to follow their absurd schemes on how to defeat Israel and prevent the creation of the state of Israel, as opposed to seeking peace and reaching an agreement. since the palestinians generally could not think for themselves, they were easily led by other, more advanced countries to act foolishly and leave scars that last to this day.

the arab leaders were quite adamant that they would not accept any peace terms with the Jews. When the people that generally control the population wish to pursue war, what choice is there for the opposing side of the conflict? its hard to say peace was accomplished when every inch was war
