If recent African history suggests anything, it's that all regimes, no matter how powerful their head of state attempts to be made out to be, remain vulnerable to the people's will. African 'democratic Big Men" are no less vulnerable to this, then the dictators who preceded them a generation earlier.
Jammeh is a fool. He is a petty tyrant and his charade of a government prevents the decent people of The Gambia from improving their own situation in life. Therefore it should come as little surprise that he would embark on such a ridiculous and absurd campaign. But all of this is done in an effort to do what other African despots have done before him, namely build up a larger-than-life divine-like persona, where he serves as the political, military, spiritual, and medical leader of his country.
Jammeh is a deep embarrasment to his people. The Gambian people are mostly clever, warm and wonderful, but some only defend him because they are afraid not to. Anyone who believes his ridiculous claims needs their head tested. The sooner he goes, the better!!!

I never said it works, and I never said it doesnt. I never said anything about its validity, I only concidered the possibility. For those who do not know this man Jammeh - a little reminder. He seized power by force in a military coup from a democratically elected government. He has absolutely NO medical training whatsoever and is known to have had only a very basic state education in Africa. He is typical of his type - charming but devious, strong but a bully, clever but a fool, and he has become a laughing stock across the world therefore making the wonderful Gambian people look very foolish....It is very sad...

If recent African history suggests anything, it's that all regimes, no matter how powerful their head of state attempts to be made out to be, remain vulnerable to the people's will. African 'democratic Big Men" are no less vulnerable to this, then the dictators who preceded them a generation earlier.
