One last comment on this thread. Jimbo, isn't it true that Bush "stood up" and allied the US with the very warlord tyrants to which the Taliban had originally been a response? Taliban power was in opposition to the brutality, corruptness, and never-ending fighting between these warlords. So whose dog is ours in the hunt? your previous limited explanation speaks to me that you just like "kicking ass" as a justification for our military adventurism, more than from any higher moral ground.

The hawkish part of hawkish libertarian ought to explain why I am OK w/ foreign intervention. It is one of very few functions I am interested in our central government performing. I am not a big fan of CFR as they tend to be proponents of Real Politik and I think that is gutless and morally weak. I favor opposing bad actors and using them as object lessons for other wannabe tyrants.

This is my cousin Jim, on his facebook page he self describes as a hawkish libertarian, a pure contradiction in terms as all libertarians I know are against US involvement in foreign conflict unless absolutely necessary. I'm afraid it is obvious that with Mr. Jimbo's response to John Kerry's remarks, he has little understanding of the issues at hand or General McChrystal's and Petraeus' stances on those issues. I suggest that instead of making haphazard statements and finding humorous ways to insult John Kerry's appearance, Mr. Jimbo should research the issues in depth and learn the positions held by the top officers in command of our military and our civilian leaders.
