@1207tbone How is the SAS a joke compared to this? You can join the seals from civi life and training is 6 months. To join the SAS you have to have to have served for 3 years and then undergo months in basic. Months in jungle training months in desert. Months in cold weather training and even once you have passes selection you are on a probation for a year in which you can be kicked out without notice
@jonovski21 You should do more research before posting ridiculous comments. Although you can go into the SEAL training pipeline right out of boot, it's much longer than six months. BUD/s is indeed 6 months long but it's only the basics. It's meant to test your mettle and drive while giving you the barebones minimum skills that seals require. Successful completion grants you entry into SQT (additional 7 months) training where you qualify to be a SEAL...
This is how I was introduced to the navy in general, I always new I wanted to join the military but didn't really know what to do, this should me the navy, which lead me to sea cadets, which lead me to the sea cadet special forces training, that got me into college and will lead me to OCS, hopefully to BUD/S

until youve been there i wouldnt, in the training, i suggest you keep your mouth shut about the royal marines or the sas being tougher, besides were all allies
a SEAL goes through at least 2 years of constant training before they can be deployed. this is why you would need to sign up for 6 years. if you signed up for 4 you might not ever even have a chance to get deployed.
once you are deployed you go for about six months an start a 18 month training block before you can be re deployed. they really dont show the training they go through after BUDs
@ravenking5220 I'll see you there, and contrary to popular belief, you don't need to hit the gym, do calisthenic exercises, push ups and pull ups primarily swim as much as you can and run as much as you can. I can do 25 pull ups, you need to get to that level before you can get in.

Thanks! Glad to see I am not the only one that realizes that is what this video and many others are. It is essentially a recruitment tool hundreds sign up thinking they will become a SEAL. The Navy knows that 85% of these men have no chance at making it but after they fail then the Navy gets to use them as regular sailors.
Most small arms platforms fire projectiles at (MACH 2) disregarding subsonic munitions. Although this speed can only carry on for so long until gravity and resistance take effect. Small arms platforms that use high velocity munitions tend to carry for much longer. There are some weapons that do fire projectiles at (MACH 3) for example the M40 sniper rifle. This weapons platform fires a high velocity match grade ammunition and can maintain this speed at it's max effective range.

From the reports it was said that it was 80 SEALS vs approximately 17 armed men not to mention that the SEALS had the element of surprise. @EliteArmory1911 I would suggest you take a year off, find a job, get more physically fit. The job will help you with discipline, learning to follow orders,etc. Get in better shape so you are more prepared to deal with BUDs. Most importantly have fun in that year, once you enlist you may be there for a while. (DO NOT get in trouble with police, that will take away your eligibilty for ANY part of the military).

@aznboi992 Since they invented platoons, company's, brigades, battalions, regiments, divisions, army's and army groups. The thing is in the navy's infantry combat and western infantry combat in general is based around four men fire teams/patrols as a basis to build larger forces on, the only exception are the sniper spotter teams which, naturally, work in two men teams. In general a 16 men Seal team is consistent of two sniper spotter teams (.308 & .50 cal) and three four men fire teams/patrols.

So your saying the bullets (Rounds as we in the military call them) travel 2100 mph (22883 Mph to be exact)? moron. the only weapon that fires a round so fast you won't hear it fired before it hits you is the M2 Browning .50 cal. Now a 5.56 mm round (like that of an M4/M16) travels at 3100 ft per second... that is no where near that fast. Hint: do research.

Most small arms platforms fire projectiles at (MACH 2) disregarding subsonic munitions. Although this speed can only carry on for so long until gravity and resistance take effect. Small arms platforms that use high velocity munitions tend to carry for much longer. There are some weapons that do fire projectiles at (MACH 3) for example the M40 sniper rifle. This weapons platform fires a high velocity match grade ammunition and can maintain this speed at it's max effective range.

The job will help you with discipline, learning to follow orders,etc. Get in better shape so you are more prepared to deal with BUDs. Most importantly have fun in that year, once you enlist you may be there for a while. (DO NOT get in trouble with police, that will take away your eligibilty for ANY part of the military).

@aznboi992 Since they invented platoons, company's, brigades, battalions, regiments, divisions, army's and army groups. The thing is in the navy's infantry combat and western infantry combat in general is based around four men fire teams/patrols as a basis to build larger forces on, the only exception are the sniper spotter teams which, naturally, work in two men teams. In general a 16 men Seal team is consistent of two sniper spotter teams (.308 & .50 cal) and three four men fire teams/patrols.

So your saying the bullets (Rounds as we in the military call them) travel 2100 mph (22883 Mph to be exact)? moron. the only weapon that fires a round so fast you won't hear it fired before it hits you is the M2 Browning .50 cal. Now a 5.56 mm round (like that of an M4/M16) travels at 3100 ft per second... that is no where near that fast. Hint: do research.
