@Aqrab1 exactly i wish more people dynoed with the hood down, than you would really see how most intakes are not what the manufacturers say they are. steeda isnt really to bad because it does keep the factory cold are ducting, but on my own car i save that money for suspesion or say a different ring a pinion set up. to me thats money spent more "wisely"
@Aqrab1 i believe airaids system also keeps the OEM cold air ducting so in my opinion those 2 kits arent completely worthless. just my own 2 cents really from working in dealerships and training i have had
The stock pull cannot be right. The stock car has 412HP at the flywheel. With 390HP rwhp, you are saying that your dyno has 5.6% loss? I don't think so.

I don't quite understand this car. on previous videos this car made 375HP and 354TQ... You added a tune and got 415HP and 400TQ. Then now you added an intake and now it's 430hp and 410TQ? So you are saying a tune and an intake gained 55 hp and 56tq over stock on an NA vehicle? wow... even this video it's says stock baseline is 390 when it said 375 before. so Is this car making the same power to the wheels as it's listed as stock at the flywheel or is this just a very generous dynojet?
So a basic mild bolt on 5.0 is making the same power as cammed G8's on the same dyno??...Thats crazy!!...BTW When are they going to be releasing a converter for these new autos?? I think these autos will react well once theyre able to launch in their power band.
Hey guys! I got the exact same intake and and SCT tuner from Steeda and my car only made 387whp with our 91 octane fuel here in Cali, can you guys help achieve the same numbers?
Wow That is huge gains for a GT. This new 5.0 is the best. When I changed My tires 17's - 20's inch it slowed the car down! I weighed the stock tires and the 20's and the diff was 64 pounds! I got it tuned and that helped but still bogs/slow. i'm changing the stock tires back but now i wont be able to get traction. i have a auto.
@svtbird46 with my 17's I was getting 33mpg freeway going 60mph-65mph. With 20's I'm getting 25mpg or lower. The 20's look great! But not great 4 mpg. I could put in higher gears like 3.73 but then my mpg will be crushed right?. The 17's are nice, a rolling start and I'm gone!!! The only bad thing is no traction. I should of shopped around before spending that money. at lease i know now!
Do you guys have an idea on what the weight of the RTR wheels are? I asked a guy from Classic Design Concepts (RTR's distributor) and all they knew was that they were forged. I heard they are about 30lbs which seems like a lot, especially for forged. They look great though. I just hope they enhance performance.
@svtbird46 Thanks. I know a few friends of yours and keep hearing great things about the car. I also saw your car at the Mustang Show over the weekend at the Livernois display. Looks great. I love the look of the RTRs, but I can't think of spending that much money to get a heavier wheel, even if it is a marginal difference. If I'm gonna go through the trouble of getting new wheels, they're def gonna be much lighter than the stock ones. I can imagine the factory 19's are pretty heavy though.
@typhoon5000 when I am at the track I have forged wheels that are lightweights. (18x10 and weigh 19.4LBS) For the street is doesnt matter, and I liked how these looked.
Thanks for the kind words, next time stop and say hi I would like to meet you.
@typhoon5000 I'm not sure to be honest, I can just tell you that putting them on and taking off my brembo package wheels I could tell that the stock wheels were a bit heavier!
@wallicimo1 Wow. If it's that noticeable, they must be pretty heavy. Probably around 35lbs, which is ridiculous IMO. I don't see why any wheel smaller than 19x10" needs to be heavier than 25lbs other than cost. Wheel weight reduction is one of the easiest ways to increase all around performance.
412 advertised hp that Ford rates is underrated. They pump out closer to 420hp at the crank.

@hntrdad Or it could be, and this is just a thought here, that the new 5.0 actually makes around 430-440 flywheel horsepower...?

@typhoon5000 CDC did not say they were forged. I bought mine direct from CDC, they weigh 28 per wheel.
2-3 pounds per wheel make no difference on the street, dont sweat it.
