I love it man, but I'd like to hear a lower BPM, but not pitch shifted down, just time stretched down to about 95 bpm. That flute is dissonant with the sax. Nice feel though, props.
@Sayian505 thats a mpc it helps u if u want to sample beats like just blaze or kanye west the mpc 2000 that that dude has cost about 1000 u could probably get on for 500 or 400 online the newer ones cost about 1000 nowadays and those r the basic ones.
i use mpc, it's powerful for sampling. but u probably need an instrument to make basslines etc. so maybe an analog synthesizer or something combined with the mpc to make great beats. Nice uptempo beat on vid btw
yeah but the 5000 is too clean the mpc60 is where it's at gritty beats, i cant seem to get my hands on a 60 tho i want one, but im lookin for a 2000 at the moment im fuckin wit a 500 and despite how many people hate on it its no different than any other mpc i have ever been on except for 4 less pads than the rest, pretty much same features tho small differences but i like it. but yeah the 5000 is too clean man you know
but i just like the gritty sound that comes from certain mpcs the 5000 to me is too clean and i know u can make it gritty with work but id really rather get an xl i mean i have a 500 and even that sounds too clean.
to me anyway i did some stuff to it to make a more grittier sound. but really nothing gets the job done like a mpc 60 mkI
you should do some low end theory bass... not the album the actual process under which tha album was named... well basically low pass filter the sample.. and add it in as the bassline.. other than that great job im usually a hard beat critic too
I doubt this beat was already used. It just sounds like some Shawn J Period ish. Like it's some Down South "Lost in Brooklyn"/"Southern Comfort" ish. Dude's got talent, it's just not (that) relevant.
FUCKING BORING, men next time work a little more on time stretching and filter to make some change in your sound. The base is good but iknow you can do much better with more work on it!Peace.
how did you chop up samples with the 2000 compared to the xl. when i went to the zone part i couldnt do it. can u make a tutorial video on how you make ur beats and chop them. all your shit so far has been mad hat. one!
Yeah,he's been inspired by Damu 2 go get his Crate Diggin' on.That's cool & that's 1 of Damu's jobs-2 inspire the young niggas.Naw,you've never heard that Horn loop N any of Damu's beats. We need that early '90's shit.Keep it up,lil' man, you're on the right track.
the drums fit the track but they are to weak for that sample.....you need to switch it up...and filter the baseline from the sax..to use the flute because haveing them going at the same time is ruining how dope the sampel is...im not gonna say your jacking damu's recording style because it snot like he made it up...and damu didnt invent 90s hip-hop beats so whoever said hop off damus dick needs to hop off damu's dick peace keep trying man youll be better in no time..
