  • @ballusmartyjaimatad

    Hi

Very glad to hear this..keep giving them surprises...

  • I always used to struggle with spreading the batter on dishes ..but spreading it on a foil ... I never thought about that ... Very innovative idea ... Thank you very much

  • @ruhi8888

    HI

You can also spread directly on counter but make sure to clean your counter very well. When we make in large amount, my mother in law uses counter and you can see her making in one of the video on this channel under Aakash making and eating khandvi with Granny...enjoy!

  • good dish. i am not a north indian... i want 2 know after rolling d khandvi will be rubbery r little bit sticky texture....

  • @vimsukkrajith

    Hi

Once you spread, it is not rubbery or sticky at all....it is infact very delicate so you have roll even carefully. But your batter should be cooked to very certain point and this recipe requires lot of stirring so make sure if you are making first time, you have someone else's hand as well. I usually check with small amount for testing. If I can roll easily that means batter is cooked.

  • Hi Bhavna,

Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe. I appreciate your work.I like your enthusiasm as well.

  • @Foodchalange

    Hi

    You most welcome...enjoy!

  • HI,,...i really like ur recipes .... i can make many dishes from ur channel... but how do you edit ur videos? wht u use for editing? thanx..n keep uploading new recipes....

  • @chutkuish

    HI

Thanx and will sure keep uploading more.

  • I love khandvi. My grandmother used to make it and I haven't eaten this delicacy in a loooong time. I will try this recipe this weekend. Thanks for posting this recipe. You are doing a great favor to the Indian community.

  • @yapi85

    HI

You most welcome...now you can try making on your own and feed others as well...enjoy!

  • Did she say termite powder.lol

  • @harisk12

Keep LOL...not going to get anywhere with it....cheers!

  • This lady here is demonstrating here to share what she loves with others, & there come these scientific facists & "nutrition police" telling you that you are not who you are & that what she is teaching is dangerous as it uses milk & that Indians are sick & morons & uncultures for respecting cows & drinking milk...& cite "research" that Indians never knew about milk till the americans enlightened them about it...That I say is the highest level of devotion of a slave to his master. Modern culture

  • most lactose intolerant people can take the real yogurt well, I mean the yogurt that is made with live cultures & can be used to make a fresh batch of yogurt. The bacteria that turn the milk into yogurt break up the lactose that causes the problem in the lactose intolerant people. You can try eating a couple of spoons of plain yogurt first & waiting a day to see if that bothers you.

  • @aparaajita10

    Thanx for sharing..enjoy!

  • @aparaajita10 If u have problem with shitting, then sue more ghee on ur ass.

  • @Shovelware that's a problem you seem to have considering what is coming out of your mouth....

  • Hi Bhavna,

I tried to make khandvi for the first time today and i m so happy as it came out perfectly and tasted exactly how my ba used to make thank you so much the details that you have given for this receipe you cant go wrong. lots of love. Keep up the good work. God Bless.

  • @vandita21

    Hi

So glad to hear that...keep making and enjoying!

  • Thanx Bhavna I made it after watching ur video and it turn out superb thanx. Keep posting more receipe.

  • @mehermirza1

    HI

Thanx for coming back to share....glad to hear that!

  • can this be made without yoghurt?? I am lactose intolerant. can it be made only with water and oil?

  • @maharawj

    HI

I have never made without yogurt. You can try with soy yogurt...

  • @SuperVeggieDelight I am currently in Gujarat and checked that shops that sell KHandvi do not use youghurt at all only water. So am confident to try it with water

  • @maharawj But then they must be adding something to give it the sour taste. Also, adding yogurt increases the nutritional value of the dish & makes it vwry healthy, as that increases the amount of protein & calcium in the khandvi.

  • @aparaajita10 lime I guess. Yoghurt in no way is nutritional. Milk is poison, unless you have ur own cow and feeding it grass.

Besan already is high protein and leafy greens, sesame seeds contain more calcium than milk. Moringo fruit(drumstick/Shenga) contains 30 times more calcium then milk. To absorb calcium you need magnesium which occurs in leafy greens so its a better source.

Yoghurt only contains good bacteria and one can get the same from other fermented foods.

  • @aparaajita10 search google for "Dangers Of Milk And Dairy Products - The Facts" to get more info from a website rense(dot) com.

Humans just like all other mammals lose the enzymes to digest milk after they grow up.(most of us can only have milk in form of yoghurt that is pre-digested by the bacteria, drinking raw milk gives cramps and gastro problems). Even cow does not drink milk after it grows up.

Its common sense cows milk contains 59 powerful growth hormones designed make a calf grow fast

  • @maharawj You talk of common sense...very amusing...these days the only ones to talk about it are those who don't have any...believing everything on google doesn't make you senmsible...so please keep your info to yourself. Having searched the google is no measure of the intellectual capabilities of a person...

  • @aparaajita10 calf grows to 1000 pounds in a few weeks only by drinking cows milk. No wonder India inspite of being primarily vegetarian is now becoming the diabetes and obesity capital of the world. These powerful growth hormones were not designed for humans. Human milk contains only 20+ such hormones.

It is just a myth that India traditionally consumed milk, milk drinking was not popular until the dairy industry started supply packet to milk and doctors started to promote milk as healthy

  • @maharawj I don't know where you are fromn, but Iv'e always seen milk used, Most households used to have cows as pets, & not the dogs & cats & lizaerds, like today. The obesity & all that u mention started with packet milk. Actually the consumption of milk has gone down in India in the time u mention. You don't want to use dairy, feel free not to use it. Please stop spreading "scientific & logical" sounding lies...

  • @aparaajita10 India did not traditionaly consume milk as much as they consume now. I have visited villages 15 years ago in south India where tea was never drunk. Coffe and tea drinking was popularized by the british.

Ayurvedic preparations that call for cows milk were traditionally using coconut milk. Milk is only a source of fat to help absorb fat soluble vitamins, now for convinience they use cows milk. But in ayurveda milk is mucus forming and inflammatory and is not recommended

  • @maharawj so Indians did not know the difference between coconut & a cow, or they used the words cow & coconut interchangeably. And what else India did not know before the west went a7 taught them everything? wonder why the west tried to look for a "quicker way" to get to India? I don't have to search googgle to know that trhe sun is hot & the light of the day is due to the sun. And what is wriiten is always written by someone...& what he/she writes is written to show off his/her superiority...

  • @aparaajita10 yeah so you don't believe in science. You have to either pick up a text book to know sun is a star but now you can visit Nasa website(by searching i on google) and find out more info about the sun.

The same way I told you to search for a scientific link. I cannot post links here. But I guess you don't go by science you got by superstitions. Well i guess when your parents and you suffer from oestoreoporosis in old age because of drinking milk(u might get it earlier) then us might

  • remember this, just like west who drink so much milk are falling sick not getting any healthier same Indians are following. You should ask your grandfather how much milk he drank before making such ignorant assumptions and getting so "bitchy" about someone who is sharing some info that might be good for you. "Bhalayi ka zamana hi nahi raha". If you want lets chat where i can post us scientific research that milk causes osteopororis, diabetes and obesity and lets see you debunk that.

  • @maharawj Oh now go citing the researches...they r the ones published by the same people who published the research that the prices of rice in america have gone up because Indians are eating too much rice...you've made your point...that there are people in this world who think from dunno where...& why don't u ask ur grandfather that question? It'll be easier for you to do that...I don't believe anything said or published by those who search the internet when asked their father's name...

  • @aparaajita10 wow you already know everything LOL.. From your videos you don't come across as such a hateful spiteful, close minded person.

You have to abuse my father.. Tsk tsk.

I was genuinely asking you to ask your grandfather not as an insult. I asked my grandmother too and she said they never drank milk nor tea. As there was no milk supply in their village. Plastic packet milk was only recently introduced. If us asked any elder u would know the truth that was my intention

  • @maharawj I said the same thing, ask your grandfather or father, for it will be easier. What was insulting about that? I don't know how to talk to the dead. so I can't ask my elderly...What I said about googling your father is for you, not your father...

  • @aparaajita10 ur a sick woman you have indirectly said I dont know who my father is.

Well You are now going to be exposed. Such a sick person I have never come across in my life

  • @maharawj It does hurt to be shown your true self...doesn't it? It makes me sick when I state the facts about the mentality of the internet addicted people, & it makes you a brilliant intellectual scientist to accuse the traditions, cuisine & thought of people who don't agree with you & your ownerss? That's pretty bigoted, as per the definition of thge word, as decided by the people who own you...yes, for you totally don't have ability to think...you speak what you are programmed to think...

  • @aparaajita10 Hello Crazy woman, I am communicating to you on the internet so I can only give you internet links if you are in India I can show you Indian doctors and research papers in India that say the same thing. You are brainwashed by the British. Western influence made us drink milk. Promoting it as healthy. Milk is unhealthy its adulterated and full of urea..Gone are the days of Vedic milking from cows eating grass Today they eat BT cottonseed feed. Ur ignorant and only know to abuse

  • Its obvious how you react to people whom you don't agree with (because ur ignorant) you behave like a hysterical mad woman abusing them and getting personal with them instead of asking for proof and having a decent discussion. Don't you talk about tradition and cuisine, I live in the land of Khandvi and I enquired with some more local Khandvi shops none of them us Curds. U are brainwashed mentality who only know to make food tasty by adding animal fat..that is butter curds, ur not a cook!!

  • @maharawj so now you are in the nisiness of exposing too? How scientifically christian...

  • @maharawj and what will you prescribe as a remedy? baptizing? bringing jesus into my life? or is it because I am a Hindu & pray to the cow (& respect all forms of life, even the lowly ones) & drink cow's milk?

  • @aparaajita10 Haha so you think I am christian. If you worship a cow then why do you torture it. My guru has an ashram in Kerala. He "serves" cows. But never milks them. He is the most knowledgeable person in vedas. He does not drink milk. Nor any milk or ghee is served in ashram. Not superstition believers like you.

COW MILK IS FOR THE CALF you cruel woman CALF is also god You should ashamed to rob the calf of its milk. If you call Cow your GOD serve it unconditionally. Don't insult hinduism

  • @maharawj Oh...so u r from kerela...and a practicing hindu & not a christian...take this anger & fight those who are around you killing the hindus. Your rant ls limited to those who do no damage to any one...channel your agression against those who are blowing up the country around you...that u won't do, for u hide behind the Hinduism facade & swindlae every one including yourself & your god.

  • @maharawj so you "serve" the cow you say. in what form, as steaks or as burgers, or is it the ribs? I've seen enough of your kind in my workplace...I see them everyday...

  • @aparaajita10 Cows milk was given to kids whos mothers died. Ghee is used in yagna and kings(who are Egoistic, they were the first EGO) started to us ghee in food to show off their power and other human continued. Watch this video if you have the GUTS TO FACE THE TRUTH!!. Look how OUR GOD IS BEING TREATED and then tell me if you can drink your packaged milk which is blood pus and torture and suffering watch?v=YuK1kUL4SZo Copy paste this after the youtube url and watch it instead of abusing ppl

  • @maharawj so that's what u r doing to the cows? Is it a sacred service to ur god that u sit somewhere on this land & bark & abuse everyone who doesn't do what you ask him & go & shove your face in every one's business? Isn't being a Hindu about examining your own deeds first? torturing people with your lies is not a sin? only drinking milk is a sin? wow, I don't know what species you are from...

  • @aparaajita10 the lease i can do is by not partaking in the cruelty. haha u call this lies. practice what ur preach. examine ur own deeds first. You admit you don't calves are being murdered but yet you abused me and told me I am lying. I examined myself and I stopped dairy becuase of the cruelty towards the cows. If all (hypocritical) cow lovers stop drinking milk(atleast commercial milk) the cruelty will stop, that is how change comes ur the first HINDU i have seen us is screaming

  • like a mad woman, i show this video to other hindus and they cry, they stop milk immediately cause milk is "Rich food" it is not a staple its know fact one can live without milk.

All my friends have stopped drinking milk. Those who have farms raise the cows themselves. We have fought risked our lives saving cows that are illegally being slaughtered.all us can do is sit and shout like a mad woman. When all I said was I don't drink milk. Look back at who start foaming at the mouth when I said that

  • @maharawj "like a mad woman, i show this video to other hindus and they cry..." Sorry, I did not know that you are a mad woman. I do not believe in torturing poor old mad women, or mad men for that matter....

  • @aparaajita10 just because worse crimes are happening against hindus eslewhere does not give you the right to abuse a cow. If ur a true hindu and cow lover u would have listened with an opened mind and asked me 4 proof(which i provided i gave u the video). Our GOD was not supposed to live such a live of cruelty. u speak in 0z you must be in USA or west that is why ur mentality is just like them, retarted and ignorant not wanted to hear the truth cause you don't want to change. Hypocrites.

  • @aparaajita10 I would give you remedy to stop torture MY GOD!! Cause u dont meaning of GOD otherwise u would not allow anyone to torture a cow like they do to get ur milk, Even ur local Milkman gives hormones to the cow to make it give more milk They sell the calf to Beef so that muslims and Christains can eat it. Cause they want to sell all the milk UR partaking in sin. UR A SINNER cause Vedas clearly says SELLING COWS MILK IS SIN..IT IS OUR GOD UR NOT SUPPOSE BUY OR SELL!!! My guru buys these

  • @aparaajita10 My guru buys these poor calves from these inhuman Milkman as much as he can(from the money we disciples donate to him) and he saves them but he cannot save all because YOU MANIACS are addicted to milk so all milkman kill off the calf because they have to MEET UR MANIACAL DEMAND!!

U call urself a Hindu go read the vedas. It is written one is not supposed to milk a cow for first 45 days because calf needs the milk the most and then only milk cow at night so calf has its full.DO U

  • @aparaajita10 DU FOLLOW THAT!!!...Instead you directly a part of the calves that get murdered to meet ur milk demand DONT YOU DARE CALL URSELF A HINDU!! YOU ARE NOT BETTER THAN BEEF EATING CHRISTIANS BECAUSE YOU ARE DIRECTLY responsible for the calves being murder ur Milk Habit is giving these Christians and Muslim Cheap Beef.

Next time have milk respect GOUMATA and don't milk it for 45 days and then only milk it at night after calf has its fill, only then call urself a HINDU. Ur CRUEL!!!

  • @maharawj so you mean because some people are using a small 8 oz cup of milk a day they are the murderes of gau mata? your yelling doesn't make any sense. I never knew that we had to kill the calf or the cow to have the milk. We had cows in our homes. May be you do that to your oet cats & dogs, I don't know the source of your rabid sounding rant. Looks like I touched a raw nerve in you somewhere...

  • @aparaajita10 You 8 oz glass is what supports the murder. Who is talking about the cows in the house. You foolish woman..That is the Past..Do you have any common sense. I gave you video link. To watch and get educated. If you care so much for cows you will stop drinking commercial milk. If you want milk get a cow and take care of the calf and not sell the cow to beef market after it stops giving milk. That is fine. But ur not doing that ur drinking commercial milk , u are calling be rabid

  • @aparaajita10 YOU DON"T KNOW ANYTHING!!!. If you abuse everyone who wants to tell you something how will you ever know anything. You start behaving like a mad woman.

I sent u a video watch it. Cows are kept pregnant perpetually by forcing an iron rod or veterananian's hand inside the cow vagina to insert sperm. Is that how u treat god? There is no bull nothing natural. The cow is in one place for entire life in commercial dairy farms. Its pregnant 10 yrs continuously so it gets paralyzed n sold

  • @aparaajita10 cow lives for more than 15 yrs, it is fed cottonseed feed instead of grass(cos its cheap) and kept in sheds machines attached to its udders that will extract milk till its bleeds, its painful.

That us how ur milk comes you take 8 oz or you take on spoon if you buy milk ur a direct partner in this cruelty and torture against the cow.. you did not touch anything me,since ur so ignorant but claim to be cow lover I though let me drill some sense and information into u. then u decide

  • @maharawj And yes, it is not possible for you to see everytrhing as hateful & sick & "unscientific" for every one sees things colored by their own condition...

  • @maharawj As for "Bhalayi ka zamana hi nahi raha"...India has come to the brink of becoming the hell hole it is today mostly because of "bhalai" karney waaley raichands like you, & the angrezi bolney waley goron ke pichh laggus...you qualify for both the categories...

  • @aparaajita10 You really are such a hateful person you showed ur true colors. You must be really addicted to MILK LOL to get so angry. Well one this is for sure. I am taking a screenshot of this chat and post it all over the internet to show ur true colors and also as an example of how people can respond when simply told that Milk is unhealthy. Indian New channels have show that Milk is adulterated Also commercial milk is full of chemical hormones urea pesticides. "Shakes head" UR a SICK Woman!

  • i love this you are quite a good chef keep it up KIND GOD BLESS

  • @lovecartoons1

    Hi

Glad to hear that b/c sometimes, it takes practice to make this kind of recipes. It is quite easy but still...keep making and enjoying.

  • I made this following your recipe after watching about 7 Khandvi videos however i also added curry leaves in the tempering.

thank you much, is there a way that i can make the khandvi smell less like raw besan flour? in the first batch i made I added more ginger paste but it was too gingery.

  • @apopkasss

    Hi

I have never felt besan smell once it is cooked perfectly. Are you adding enough yogurt? If so, it should not smell or taste raw of besan. I will still think about it since I am going to make again soon. So will pay close attention. Enjoy!

  • hi bhavna...just one suggestion if u dnt mind.....u can even roll the khandvi by cutting it only into two big sections....and then cut it into smaller pieces of equal sizes....i also make a lot of khandvi and ur recipe matches with mine....even i m surti...n our recipes match majorly...thx

  • @ronakk28

    Hi

    Thank you for sharing.

    Hi

Very glad to hear that. Keep making and enjoying.

  • u r very smart like your cooking

  • @kunjaljoe

    Hi

    Thanx

  • I tried this khandvi recipe1st time, I managed2cook it and roll it alright just for the first batch of Al foil but after i rolled the first batch out couldn't spread the rest of da batter. So I added bit of waterand put through food processor and cooked it again but no luck can't roll it! little did I know that I shd've used all da batter @ 1ce. so need some tips like shd I oil da foil?what signs shd I look da perfect cooked batter?for this recipe pls. But,Bhavna you r doing gr8 job.

  • @kalpanam3

    Hi

You have to be very very fast at spreading once it's cooked and I gave many tips on how you know when it's done. Please watch this video carefully again, hear all the tips. If the batter is cooked perfactly and you spread fast, you can't go wrong with this recipe. Good luck

  • Hi Bhavna

you make it look so simple.. i tried to make this dish and i proper cocked it up... i made the mix but i didn't cook it long enough it kept tasting like besan. and I vomited up lol. ill keep trying tho. wish me good luck

  • Hi

I feel sorry but sometimes, besan does makes you feel sick. When you try next time, cook just little bit so it cooks fast . And watch video and measurment properly again before making. I do wish you a luck by heart. Thanx

  • thanks

tried it again and it turned out very nice.. whole family liked it... thanks again for the tips

  • Hi

Thank you for sharing. Sometimes, few recipes take practice eventhough you have perfact recipe, that's my personal experience!!. Really happy to hear that your whole family enjoyed. Great!!! Keep giving small happiness like this to your family. I love to enjoy with my great family.

  • @dunstableflooring I just tried making it also, and ran across the same problem. I think the reason mine tasted like besan was because it wasn't cooked enough. I asked my mom about it and she said when she makes it she usually does 1:3 ratio for besan:water instead. I'll have to try that next time.

  • thankyou Bhavna

I made this and it turned out so delicious!

  • Hi

    Great. Really happy to hear.

    Thank you and keep sharing.

  • love this so much. I am going to try your recipe.

  • Hi

Try and share with us how it comes out. Would love to hear

  • awesome! i had almost forgotten this snack item.. didnt know it was so simple to make.. will surely try this one in a day or two!

  • Hi

Great..try and share with us. Thank you

  • Thankyou Bhavna for this recipe .Pls can you give us approximate times both for cooking the batter and then cooling on the foil.

Thanks again .appreciate your simple style of teaching.

  • Hi

As I said inv video when the batter gets smooth lump free paste that's where it's done. Also taste little bit and see if the raw taste of besan should be gone. Even if I tell you time, it may be vary due to many factors. In my case, I just cook 6-8 mins and let it cool on foil about 5mins. But it's not necessary to let it cool even 5 mins if you can peel it without breaking. Feel free to ask. Soon I am going to write all tips about Khandvi. I have already written scrap..

  • Hi Bhavna...Khandi is my favorite too...and your recipe and tutorial makes it seem so easy...will sure give it a try :-)

  • Hi Bhavna

Yours is the greatest videos among all for khandvi...very simple and informative. Thank you for this great video.
