As a young black man I realize that our youth are in a dying or dead state right now and need to be lifted up. But it's only one part of the problem. It starts with us black people coming together and lifting ourselves up economically, socially, politically and otherwise. We need to build an economic base owned by blacks in black communities hiring blacks; aspired by Marcus Garvey & his UNIA. We also need to have a political base to get strength with our vote; aspired by Malcolm X & his OAAU.

There are many countries where it is illegal to be a homosexual, even punishable by a death sentence. In some countries you can receive the death sentence for apostasy, lose a hand or be mutilated for the act of theft and be stoned to death for adultery. Women are considered property, half the worth of man, deprived education, brutalised and forced to cover up.

The connection between crime, violence, health and social problems and unequality within societies are statistically strong. Yes you can even single out these issues to local communitites within cities. Born in rags..you most likely stay in rags in the UK. Its not equal opportunities for everybody...they are inherrited. There are all kinds of government policies and programs to encourage and assist people from disadvantaged backgrounds. I have never suffered the same as some of these people in early life but I feel it’s worth saying that these people are not the only people without a voice! It is both a race and class issue, though mostly class. It's about the middle class-run government leading the working class into disadvantage through the government-run institutions i.e. eduction, benefits, etc. As a result, there are many ethnic backgrounds (mostly non-white) led to these situations due to the institutionalized racism in education systems, work/corporate environments, etc. It just so happens that in cases like this, race and class are very very close.

I don't think it's as much to do with race as that guy makes out. There's still issues to tackle with racism, but as said below me, I think this is much more of a class issue. The government haven't failed black people necessarily, they've failed the working class and the poor of this country, regardless of their race. They've failed the working class for decades, but that's another thing.

There are many countries where it is illegal to be a homosexual, even punishable by a death sentence. There are all kinds of government policies and programs to encourage and assist people from disadvantaged backgrounds. This video has inspired me to get involved in the debate. I am a white middle class university educated full time employee for a high street commercial bank. I have never suffered the same as some of these people in early life but I feel it’s worth saying that these people are not the only people without a voice! It's time we held our politicians to account and demanded that they represent the countries views. Its all well and good 'fixing' broken Britain but you can't fix it without listening.

Britain is a powder keg waiting to go off, like most of the rest of the western world. Its turning into a police state with all the surveillance cameras and the attitudes of the leaders. Of course if the rioters really wanted to make their mark they'd attack parliament, having first burnt down the telecom exchange buildings to wipe out all the cameras. It is both a race and class issue, though mostly class. It's about the middle class-run government leading the working class into disadvantage through the government-run institutions i.e. eduction, benefits, etc. As a result, there are many ethnic backgrounds (mostly non-white) led to these situations due to the institutionalized racism in education systems, work/corporate environments, etc. It just so happens that in cases like this, race and class are very very close.

I don't think it's as much to do with race as that guy makes out. There's still issues to tackle with racism, but as said below me, I think this is much more of a class issue. The government haven't failed black people necessarily, they've failed the working class and the poor of this country, regardless of their race. They've failed the working class for decades, but that's another thing.
