One of the very few times that i like Bach versions on piano,i like harpsichord or organ, but she plays so deep from her soul that makes her an authentic
I love this slower tempo. It brings out the pain in this piece sooo much better. Personally, when I play it, I play it even slower than this, but this is a really nice balance of tension, of momentum and holding back.
Maria Yudina walked barefoot, intentionally, through Bach's home town and to his birth home. That's what I read somewhere. I might have read it in some Melodyia liner notes. A very respectful, nearly fundamental reverence for the music of JSB.
i would like to listen her performance of prelude and fugue No4 from the WTC 1,i don't even know wheter she recorded it, but if anyone have it, it would be nice to put it here.
No Smith shouldn't be kept away. The prelude may not have much articulative variety,BUT it more than overcompensates that with a remarkably flexible central tempo and emotio-spirit affect. The fugue is mundane because it has too few North German agogical techniques.

I found it as notes and then i made it with a music notation program

Do you have her playing pieces of her contemporaries like Rachmaninoff, Scriabin, Prokofiev, etc.

This is very lovely indeed, personally I like it better than her Schubert.

This is very very lovely (although smithsherman should be kept away!).
I find myself yearning to see her play. Surely there must be film of her somewhere--but youtube doesn't seem to have anything.
