@bg24955 That's not a good comparison, China opened it's markets internationally during the 70s and was an Independent nation since hundreds of years, While India only opened its markets during the 90s and got it's independence roughly 50 years ago, So you are in effect comparing India & China at different decades of Progress.
Its been predicted that while China will be the Largest Economy the next 10 years, India reaches it's peak after that and will take over China, Because its a Democracy.

The government is changing but way too slow. I hope late this century China will be kinda Democratic(I don't see that can happen easilly, not at all. But with economic growth, Chinese government has to make change at some point if they were any sane).
Democracy and Authoritarian states are only comparable as long as you agree with the center. Once you disagree, there's no question about it...democracy rules!!
