  • Damn that's boss.

  • I'm just woundering.. do you have a tutorial of how to do the rigin... or what it's called.. to make it moves like it dose here?XD without having to use keyframes?

  • beautiful! I noticed amplitude and wavelength. Was this done by attaching a sine wave deformer to the rig? and then the rig itself was a spline rig? Cool stuff! love the lighting!

  • @6943cahill you got it, that's exactly how I did it! thanks for the comment :)

  • Wow.

  • amazing!! this kind of stuff really motivates me to take visual effects (animating, modeling, blah... etc) as a career ^^

  • Wow, amazing rigging, did you use any script? A tutorial would be perfect, Hablas español? yo si 8^)

  • @goranification Thanks! I didn't use any scripts, but I did use lots of expressions in Maya. Ademas, si, hablo español :) I don't think I'll make a tutorial because If I were to do it again, I wouldn't do it this way.

  • what program are you using????????

  • This is a good model. I am a diver. When you see these in the ocean, they snap more, and hide in rocks. They look very much like snakes on land. I have done some computer rigged art, this is well conceived project.

  • awesome work man this is perfect. I would freaking love to animate that rig!

  • Did you use normal mapping?

  • @luchiostudio yep!

  • your so awesome!!

  • great model! I like the secondary animation

  • i gotta say, that is one mighty goddamn fine rig

  • You need to make a tutorial on how to make rigs like that man! Great job on the project!

  • that is sweet!... how'd u get the fins to be dynamic?... there's actually a whole bunch of questions i wanna ask with rigging but I'll just ask the one i wanna know the most :D

  • @SomniumDS Thanks! The fins are controled by a chain of dynamic hair curves. The rest is top secret :)

  • @squirc how did you bind the curves to model?

    is it like a deformer

  • te quedo chingon, muchas felicidades

  • @Brutallll gracias de verdad. Voy a subir mucho mas videos pronto

  • Looks great. Sell it to Hollywood!

  • NIce good job

  • Wow Amazing animation :D

  • Awesome !

There's only one thing that could have made it even better, at the start if it would have closed his mouth :)

  • nice work !

  • excellent.

  • Wow very nice Rig, it looks awesome.

  • That looks amazing. Good job

  • That is awesome! I'm glad that you are back :)

  • errr, Hi, in 1st place: GREAT WORK!

in 2nd place: can'u make a tutorial about it? thx..

in 3rd place: Sry about my english, is bad..., i'm from brasil and I never get some course of english...

    again, Thx lot...

  • good job!

  • Really nice work.

  • BRAVO!

  • nice work ryan!

  • I love that Character UI

  • Nice work man. Did you use an N-CLoth effect for the fins to get them to wave like that? Very cool use of the Nulls as well.

  • @kcin228 Thanks, Kcin. I used dynamic hair curves for the fins. If I were to do it over again, I just might use ncloth instead, tho.

  • @squirc lol everytime I try something new I find fault with it. And realize what I have should have done. Even though at the point in time I am racking my brain. I would love to see a series with the Normals characters you did. Although being in Digital Animation and VIsual Effects student myself I recognize the render times that go into these things. Awesome work, you cease to amaze me. I hope you are finding work.
