  • toyota es toyota donde se pare

  • to bad you can not roll lil 22re motor

  • @100silverpizza I'm not disagreeing with you. I also like strolling around leisurly trails. Also, that mud was from peat, so it more or less crumbles off after it has dryed. Some years ago I ruined a car driving in a mudcompetition. The mud was from the bottom of the sea. I don't know what the heck was in that mud, because after the month of washing, the car more or less dissolved into oblivion.. I don't like the glue-kind mud..

  • @R2REE Salt water mud will fuck your car up worse than polio...I had the same thing happen to me when I got stuck in a salt water marsh. My frame was like tin foil after a couple of months.

  • aw man almost there too!! love cruisers tho! mine '67 fj40 six inch lift, 35's, 350 chevy sb 400hp. buuut stretching rear axle back 18" front forward 4" with 4 links!! :D

  • @dewhwut I've also been entertaining the thought of slapping a V8 in my '70 FJ40..

  • @R2REE what you looking at doing? type of engine or HP range? im set up with a 350 chevy small block with a turbo400 trans hooked up to the stock toyota transfercase. its been like that thru much much abuse. familiar with glamis? look it up on here. i have paddles front and rear and pull the driver side front tire off the ground when hualin ass up the drag hill. the turbo 350 trans is shorter but i went with the 400 to handle the 400HP im putting out

  • Mitäs kaikkea autolle on tehty? Korin korotus? Kui isot renkaat alla? Itelä suunnitteila BJ40:sen osto niin sillä vähän kiinnostais tietää. ; )

  • @keinonen1000 Tuo on hyvinkin vakio. Tasauspyörästön lukot, tosin. Renkaat on iankaiken vanhat 280/85/16 lapikkaat (nimestä huolimatta huonot lappilaisessa rahkasuossa..) Jos saat hyvän BJ40:en, et kadu hankintaa. Hieno auto ja varsinkin kesällä katto pois

  • nice car

  • i love those old cruisers. nice rig, crazy mud, great video!

  • Why do you drive in such places unsuitable for cars ? A bit foolish

  • @violinoamore =0P

  • @violinoamore a bit foolish. you a fucking dick head.

  • @violinoamore have you never ever herd about four wheel driving?? i guess your a soccer mum that has 1 but doesnt know what its for

  • @nmewe1 That's usually the case.. And mud is applied from a spraycan before the PTA -meeting to prove that she's a regular badass

  • @R2REE hhahaha

  • @violinoamore

What do you do,play tennis ?

  • What a good-looking truck

  • Damn thats like a quick sand/mud lol

  • @turbonite21 That's actually peat that can really be miserable. On that trip later we went over a swamp about 2 km long. Took us 6 hours to complete. No trees to winch from..

  • that is some gnarly mud.

  • manual? if so, do you leave it in 2nd gear?

  • @driftpro700 Yup, not enough power to go third..

  • I have an FJ40 also ... see it at bushwacker.4t.com for some of the rebuild and some pics and buddies at 4wildrides.4t.com

  • I like the camo

  • @arthurvandyke Thanks. It was done at a spur of a moment on a parking lot

  • @uneven45

PIGS BUM!!! 350 chev into a shorty WITH THE STANDARD BOX will give you a life time of sensational memories. Did for me! You don`t go anywhere quick but it goes everywhere and best of all. Realiable, easy to fix yourself etc etc etc

Love the simplicity of the camo. First time ive seen it look pretty good.

  • @uneven45 I've had one allready and three range rovers and a disco. So there =0D

  • Proof that you don't need to hack up, lift, v8, trash, or otherwise mod a land cruiser to make them fun, capable rigs in the mud, snow, or mountains. Great video. I love my cruisers! (FJ40, BJ42, FJ60) - Cheers!

  • @63swbfj45 I agree totally. Mine is fairly stock. Upgrades include HJ60 brakes and power steering and the 3.4 liter diesel engine.

  • I just bought a 1978 Landcruiser BJ40 and am living in Northern Finland(Rovaniemi).

My cruiser has been upgraded with a 3.5 L Turbo Diesel and suspension lift.

Need to find some good places to learn the capabilities of the car and myself(am Icelandic and used to the winter Off-Roading there not crawling and bogging like you guys do here.

  • rasputeetza. season of bad roads. russian saying

  • do you put lockers on your Land Crusier?

  • what are they like with fuel ?

  • i love it

  • Do you have a front and rear locker on your Land Cruiser?

  • Yup, an airlocker in the front and a lock right in the back

  • You've got some great traction, even in that thick mud!

  • Never liked the camo. But your LC wears it well.

  • Thank's. I am neither too hot on camo, but had to try it anyway. The car had a green matte colorto begin with and one summer evening I thought it would be a nice idea to camo it. Dark green out of a can with a brush and a roller. The black came from a spraycan using cardboard to mask the edges. Totally freehand. Turned out quite OK.

  • Nice ride man, those Toyota's were and still are freaken awesome. Besides a jeep Cherokee I would definitely love to get one! Its a diesel is it a I6 or a 4 cylinder?

  • Can't go wrong with a Land Cruiser. Admittedly, Jeeps are also awesome rides. I would'nt mind having a vintage Cherokee my self. This LC has a stock 3 liter 4 cylinder engine. I am fitting a 3.4 liter 4 cylinder engine. Mainly because of the low-end torque.

  • @R2REE 3 litre 4 cylinder? over here in aus they ome out stock with a 4.2 liter straight six diesel or a 4.0 petrol?

  • @aceslipknot The European models are mostly diesel. The first FJ:s are of course petrol (i have 1/2 of a FJ)

The price of petrol is skyhigh.

I'm quite envious of LC:s in the land of oz..

Especially the 75 -series is such an amazing vehicle

  • mud boggin is pretty fun. at least its better than doing it on a quad, our quad got stuck and we had to winch it out... what happened with you? did you get it out or did you have to winch it out? and i think if you get some real stubby tires you could have made it through, that mud did look pretty thick!

  • I had to winch for about half a meter..(close, but no cigar) Though, I made it the furthermost of all cars..

  • wat size lift and tires u got there? mud looks thick

  • These tires are goodyears 285/85/16. The equivalent of 35x9.5. They are great on hardish terrain. They cut thru peat or bog too eagerly..

  • great cruiser!!

  • Thats a lot of mud!!!

  • cool TLC.

  • how dare you use the land rover camel trophy logo for a land cruiser the fucking land rover rip off

  • Oh boy... Youre the first *tadaa* to complain. Were's your sence of humour? It's been adapted in the spirit of LR (Incidentally, I've owned 3 Range Rovers, 1 series 2 109" and a Disco)

  • is that a B DIESEL ENGINE SIR ?

  • Yes, sir, it is a B Diesel. I am installing a 3B engine into it for that more umpff

  • 5 stars

    great 4x4

  • you need lockers

  • Actually, I have an ARB in the front and LR in the rear. The mud is so dence, since it is half peat

  • if at first you don't succeed continue tryin to you get stuck only the best!!

  • you guys must be out in the boonies.here almost every cruiser has a pto on it.i got two front and rear.

  • !!!VIVA LOS BOMBEROS!!!

  • Wow I havent really seen a pto on a 40 nor a jeep. They can be real dangerous at times so I guess thats why!!

  • They're quite standard here in Finland. Don't leave home without them..

Yes they can be dangerous, buts so can be a Hi-lift, if mishandled..

  • get some 35"s on it an she'll be right. sweet vid man

  • Those are actualy 35's.. A bit on the narrow side. Rugged and robust, especially on hard terrain. Absolutely useless in a swamp..

  • pretty badass little toyota

  • Kiva paikka, näyttää mehukkaalta...

  • god i love the fj40 mine needs some better tires for that though

  • Cool vid! Go the 40!!

  • not bad.. especially for so small of a truck

  • hello from norway

you should get a Tatra 813

  • Greetings to Norwaay. Grrreat place.

The eight-wheel Tatra? I would really like to try one of those..

  • Hei

Is that a PTO winch i see ?

    What brand is it ??

    regards from sunny norway

  • Yes it's a PTO. Original accessory. Don't leave home without it =0D

Put a pin strong enough and it will get you up into a tree. Though I strongly recommend using a pulley to half the strain.

BTW, Finland is not that sunny at the moment..

  • It's sunny and 26C here in southern norway

BTW- I used to work in Joensuu....

    Also, i drive a 100 series Turbo diesel :o)

    But i have a Warn 12000lb winch.

The pulley you talked about is called a "snatch block" Best ones come from ARB in australia

    regards neighbour....

  • So lucky to have a PTO, some asshole stole mine.

First time I cried in years. Still looking for a replacement after 5 yrs. BTW nice driving, I would have done exactly the same.

  • huuuuu!

    right off you car?

    those bastards.!!

how could they do such a terrible thing man.

  • Ya right off the cruiser, I was gone for a few weeks, someone knew it would be a good time to extract it. Still never found out who did it. To replace it around here is almost impossible.

  • thats striahgt up evil man.

  • Crying shame.. I guess they are so hard to come by.. I try to keep a small collection of them a spares. I am going to install one on my HJ60 (FJ60 with a diesel)

  • Ya it is, but hey at least there are other options. But I swear I see a cruiser with my pto on it (it has a few distinct markings on it) Ill be taking the whole cruiser an parting it out on Ebay, we dont need those kinds of people in the yoda community anyways...lol.

    Im all talk of course.

BTW nice collection of vids, if I can figure out how to get my tapes on digital Id love to post too.

    cheers.

  • Thanks for the comment. I would like to make more movies. Alas, work is getting in the way of pleasure..

These vids are shot with a canon ixus and compiled with apple's iMovie. Simple and fun.

  • i have a diesel FJ-40 waiting to be restored.i also own two ALL ORIGINAL FJ-40s.original except for the usual (brakes, clutch, etc).

  • Wow, now that's some mud right there.

  • where was that

  • Lappland, Finland. Fairly close to the city of Rovaniemi

  • looks like alaskan mud, swamp and tundra

  • It's finnish mud, swamp and tundra. I guess the northern hemisphere is quite the same when you get up high enough..

  • guess so.

  • pretty badass little toyota

  • Thanks. It's getting badder. I'm installing an HJ61 turbo engine in it...

  • wow haha. does it have a lift on it already?

i'm thinking of getting something to convert into a rock crawler/baja type of vehical

  • Would be nice to have a rockcrawler. It's usually bit of a drag to excavate the BJ from a lump of mud and turf.. Only thing is that here in Finland sheer rockareas are scarce. Usually it's rocks, mud and forest, all in one go. So our vehicles have to be multi-purpose.

  • virroille sit ajelemaan kun saadaan jotain järkättyä!

  • Jepps!! Heti kun saan sovitettua 12ht -myllyn keulille. Sittenpä ei ja just hilkulle nouseeko..

  • damn thats some serious goop
