my movie... when i'd seen that in about 1995 i went on each birthday alone to the cinema -- for 7 years. now i got my alabama, 2 awesome kids and dont have to go to cinema alone again on my birthday
there's a version of this sound I found for movie previews on a dvd and it shows this movie in it. I found it once on youtube now I can't find that version of it, it's from some production company or something. If you know please let me know thanks
"The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand."
Indeed very close to Orff's song, however it's more melodic and thus I wouldn't curse it totally.... and Zimmer has composed enough other beautiful masterpieces not to be taken for a thief (unless all those songs ripped off other songs as well)...
I just checked it online , and it did sound like Carl Orff's Gassenhauer very much. I can say almost identical in many parts. Does that mean Hans Zimmer only recomposed this track?
The film's score by Hans Zimmer is a theme based on Gassenhauer from Carl Orff's Schulwerk. This theme combined with a voiceover spoken by Arquette is Tarantino's homage to Terrence Malick's 1973 crime movie Badlands, in which Sissy Spacek speaks the voiceover, and that also shares similar dramatic motifs.
@jonny86121 it says a lot that some many people thumbs up this despite your racial use of a word and you know what I don't care because I'm gonna thumbs you up too can't disagree with the truth
i know i seen that the part where Clarence father tells off Christopher Walken i know i wouldn't have been here if i haven't seen the movie a million of times and i was just pointing out that it's funny that so many people are cool with thumbs him up I guess your not
I think this movie is a kind of memory banned on celluid... Like in the pic above: Bonnie and Clyde for the 90's. It is a memory from an other time, from antoher world where you can live happy with a callgirl and tons of cocain in the car :) No, seriously: i miss this time, its like a kind of Freedom you will never have again...... ;(
How many people are aware Hans Zimmer "borrowed" this music from Carl Orff's Musica Poetica (which was used in the film Badlands, also about young lovers going on a roadtrip/killing spree)?
Why does no one give credit to Carl Orff? Herr Orff created Gassenhauer from this, which he and Gunild Keetman borrowed from Hans Neusidler. This piece is nearly 500 years old. Danke.
Clarence Worley: You just said you love me, now if I say I love you and just throw caution to the wind and let the chips fall where they may and you're lying to me I'm gonna fuckin' die.
Oh Gee.. I read in other videos that people want to use this song for their weddings, Aww, now I feel like crying! This would make such a sweet and perfect wedding song :')
Definitely not steel drums, just not twangy enough. It sure sounds like a Marimba or Xylophone, but I'd go with Marimba. The Marimba has more of a flat sound compared to the Xylophone.
A beautiful song to an amazing film. Just bought it recently after not watching it for a good few years and It is still mind-blowingly gorgeous! It's somewhere in my top 20 I'm sure....
i love this movie its one of my all time favs i remember back in 93 when it came out in the cinema, then it was banned on video for a while... i couldnt wait when they released it...

it is, sort of. this isn't the exact same? when ashton is running up to her house at the end, it's this type of music but with a different tune? i just cant find that actual one...
