  • i eat the pussy I eat the butt, I eat every goddamn thing

  • total ripoff of Orff. still good, but come on......and dont tell me it just kinda sounds the same

  • Because not all music needs words.

  • Omfg. I've een looking for tune for soo long.. three cheers for shazam!

  • So very unlike most of Zimmer's music. The quality, however, is no deviation from his norm. Quite the pretty piece!

  • I want the sheet music for marimba >.<

  • Adore this tune!

  • i remember my ... ho........ex girlfriend...

  • Of course it's a rip off. Zimmer purposely used Orff's music. Living in today's age, I would expect more people to realize the value of remakes.

A good composer does not imitate. He steals. --Igor Stravinsky

  • my movie... when i'd seen that in about 1995 i went on each birthday alone to the cinema -- for 7 years. now i got my alabama, 2 awesome kids and dont have to go to cinema alone again on my birthday

    Carl Orff - Gassenhauer

  • This was also used in Uncharted: Drakes fortune :D

  • there's a version of this sound I found for movie previews on a dvd and it shows this movie in it. I found it once on youtube now I can't find that version of it, it's from some production company or something. If you know please let me know thanks

  • "The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand."

    Carl Sagan

  • Hans Zimmer el mejor compositor del planeta.

  • Carl Orff - Gassenhauer [1973 "Badlands" Version] in youtube search. What a rip off!!

  • Can you say Carl Orff RIPOFF!!!!!!

  • @xxdonaldqxxx

Indeed very close to Orff's song, however it's more melodic and thus I wouldn't curse it totally.... and Zimmer has composed enough other beautiful masterpieces not to be taken for a thief (unless all those songs ripped off other songs as well)...

  • one of the best songs ever composed!

  • when are they gonna bring out the hans zimmer collection

  • It's from the Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door commercial.

  • @atr1664 LOL that made me laugh too. idk why but so funny and so random

  • I know I'm pretty... but I ain't as pretty as a couple 'o titties!!

  • This was in the how to train your dragon trailer!! luv it

  • this sound like carl orff - gassenhauer

  • @Quiqqly

Your point makes a lot of sense!!!!!

I just checked it online , and it did sound like Carl Orff's Gassenhauer very much. I can say almost identical in many parts. Does that mean Hans Zimmer only recomposed this track?

  • If my life were to have theme music, I would have Hans Zimmer compose it.

  • @oreodrinker dude, you're life must be badass.

  • @Kelschloveshanny

it's "your life", dumbass. "you're" stands for "you are", that's why there's "e" at the end

  • @oreodrinker

Amen to that! Although you'd probably have to rob a bank to pay him :)

  • @oreodrinker That is one of my life goals. To have a theme song written by hans zimmer!

  • @oreodrinker Thomas Newman for me. :)

  • @oreodrinker

  • The film's score by Hans Zimmer is a theme based on Gassenhauer from Carl Orff's Schulwerk. This theme combined with a voiceover spoken by Arquette is Tarantino's homage to Terrence Malick's 1973 crime movie Badlands, in which Sissy Spacek speaks the voiceover, and that also shares similar dramatic motifs.

  • The best soundtrack all time

  • From Beginning to end the movie is a great!!

  • @jonny86121 it says a lot that some many people thumbs up this despite your racial use of a word and you know what I don't care because I'm gonna thumbs you up too can't disagree with the truth

  • @Grimium He was simply quoting the film, you utter prick!

  • He's cool...except he stole this from Carl Orff

  • where have you been my blue-eyed son?

where have you been, my darling young one?

this song always reminds me of Dylan.

  • i still have to laugh when i think of the joke his dad tells in the camper.

  • @Lichtfels Wasn't a joke, you fucking cock fondler!

  • I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!

  • I think this movie is a kind of memory banned on celluid... Like in the pic above: Bonnie and Clyde for the 90's. It is a memory from an other time, from antoher world where you can live happy with a callgirl and tons of cocain in the car :) No, seriously: i miss this time, its like a kind of Freedom you will never have again...... ;(

  • sometimes it makes me cry...

  • @atombebi Are you male or female, not that it matters, just curious.

  • Justin Beiber and Lady Gaga and The Jonas Brothers can suck my cock!

  • @zososierp they can lick my hairy ass!

  • hey carol this is for you......sparky

  • The Movie Absolutely was Astonishing!

  • How many people are aware Hans Zimmer "borrowed" this music from Carl Orff's Musica Poetica (which was used in the film Badlands, also about young lovers going on a roadtrip/killing spree)?

  • @dietzanator- yeah, apparently Tarantino wanted it to be an homage of sorts- similar story, similar music- not unexpected from him

  • @dietzanator I did;)

  • @dietzanator I didn't know that and as I love this song.. I will check it out now. Thanks.

    hope i HeLped :)

  • @rm04ever

Yes you had helped. : ) Thanks. But can't figure out the musical instrument in the music...like the music so much. : ) Thanks again.

  • J14W31 ~ Sounds like steel drums to me. I could be wrong.

  • @MrRazorz

Anyway :D Thanks for the info.

  • @MrRazorz

Definitely not steel drums, just not twangy enough. It sure sounds like a Marimba or Xylophone, but I'd go with Marimba. The Marimba has more of a flat sound compared to the Xylophone.

  • this version is better than the Music in Movie's OST , but i couldn't find an mp3 for this one :(

    hope someone can help

  • look a few inches above your comment, there are links to buy from Amazon, emusic, or itunes.
