august burns red is technical in messengers. they produce a sound with a similar mix to this stuff, but yes the music is written differently. abr was technical on messengers and in a few other things, but not in the same sense as these guys or vom. abr is technical rythmically. wtr, vom, and wretched are technical in the sense that if you write it out in standard notation, youll just look at it and be like "holy shit balls thats a lot of notes, and theyre all over the fuckin place". boo is both.
