I have read all of President Obama's books and know all about Reverend Wright. Never once did President Obama witness Wright speak the way he did. The Reverend lived through some pretty rough times and I am quite certain that Obama's church which is mostly white folks would not have put up with those kind of sermons. President Obama's books and church do not promote needless deaths and torture in illegal and immoral wars, that I can say FOR SURE! Nice try though, no comparision what-so-ever!

I agree to some extent. They are sopposed to be our representatives, people elected on our behalf. But the problem comes in when we elect idiots, money-mongerers, and trigger happy war-lovers. As soon as we stop electing rich representatives, the sooner we can end this ridiculous government problem. Another problem comes in when we actually elect good people, but they can't get far because they lack funds. We need a new Jackson (without the racism), a new TR/FDR, not a politician.

I do understand the arguments against the Patriot Act, probably better than you think. However, I have always lived by the principle that the most important right is to stay alive. That right was challenged on 9/11. If law enforcement needs to take a closer look at those who show a high chance of being terrorists, so be it.

I guess you are because it can't get much more specific than pointing to the bills and directives, but I guess you're just so use to having your information spoonfed to you by the media that you expect me to do the same. Now that you mention it, I am strapped for time such that I don't have the ability to research things about HR bills all day long. Unlike most Kucinich supporters I am not a professional student, and have a real job and run a business. So, since you have held yourself out as an authority on what "essentially dictatorial powers" Bush has assumed, please enlighten. Speaking of the "right to privacy", it might interest you to know that there is actually no such right in the Constitution. Sure, it is important and maybe should have been added, but really the whole so-called "right to privacy" was cooked up by enterprising lawyers decades (if not centuries) after the Founders.

Even though countries like russia and england are at more of a risk for a terrorist attack, and that most terrorists are usually from the country next door (such as israel to palestine, ireland to england, canada to the US).

I think this country needs to wake up, al quaeda got lucky, they caught us off guard, its not going to happen again any time soon, so then why go to war with other countries now? Why is the government stripping us of our rights? and Why are you so complacent? What else are you willing to forgoe so you can feel "safe"? feedom of speech? Religion? Your right to choose, just offer it up, the government will take it.
