I love reading all the responses from the canadians. They're so sensitive. All they talk about is how good they are at hockey and lacrosse and nothing else. USA dominates them and every other country in everything.

2005. flyers youth. bantams. they won nationals in boston. then went to canada and beat every team. won there too. 2007 his moorestown lacrosse team won states and just felt like going to canada. won 2 out of 3 games. no lye.

They have a piss poor record at World Championships, Olympics and World Juniors. Not to mention the World Cup. US Youth hockey is a joke, you guys gather your best players and train them for months, yet still can't beat a third-tier Canadian team. Also US lacrosse players bitch about legal checking + don't respect the Iroquois.

I highly doubt your brothers 'stroke' and Canadian teams, much less at hockey. Lower ranked Canadian Jr. A teams blowout elite American squads regularly. I remember blowing out Michigan and Massachusetts teams regularly. Which is hilarious considering our population is only 1/10 of yours. Furthermore, Americans would be shellacked with impunity by Canadian teams at box lacrosse. The NLL is 95 % Canadian. Field is so tame compared to box, hell is contact even allowed in the NCAA ?

seriously it was pantinted by a montreal dentist. He invented lacrosse. when I say he invented it, i mean he made the dimensions of the field, the net, the stick, the goal circle, he decided what padding was legal and what wasn't.

it was BASED on a game play by native americans that was played on a 1-3 km field with 100-150 men and was played to settle disagreements.

it was called lacrosse because the stick resembled what looked like a bishops cross back then.

yes, the Native Americans did invent the sport of lacrosse, but lacrosse was patented (rules, dimensions and such) by a Canadian Dentist from Montreal.

Basketball was infact invented by a Canadian. I challenge you to look it up.

and being Canadian I agree that Canada doesn't do jack shit for sports and America is the place to be. (excluding Hockey)

and as for the telephone, Its been argued whether graham bell was canadian or american for so long that nobody cares anymore

i found out that Naismith was Canadian & Beers was too. but if Naismith was Canadian, why is it that america started the NBA and there are (don't quote me exactly i just looked briefly) maybe 50-150 players from Canada in the NBA? Canadian basketball is like american box lacrosse, basically non existent. and even though the canadian dentist created lax rules the first legit college teams were American &still are. I agree that the first legit lax teams were American. Even today, Canada has few teams that can compete with the American teams on any level. Off the top of my head I can think of mabye The Edge and Hill Academy... but thats about it.

The only sport we can compare to is Hockey because it's the one sport we own at (not by much).

lax is lax who cares who invented it lets just be happy that ppl invented all the cool sports there are today. overall ppl should stop arguing about who is better at sports cuz in the long run, it doesn't matter. ppl should think about the next 40 years of their lives not the next four trying to get a 1% chance of playing in college and like .5% chance at going pro. there are way more important things in life than sports and who is the best. I think we r seeing the decline of the STUDENT athlete

I know Canada actually invented basketball and yes the Iroquoi indians invented lacrosse, but it wasn't invented as a game. It was invented as a preperation for battle and eventually got made into a sport. Laslty, the only sport America isn't good for is Soccer. Yes we do own at lax exspecially MD

First off, you ignorant little dipshit, Canada has many world class universities. Look at rankings in Times magazine for example. University athletics isn't a complete non-factor in Canada like it is in the States, there are no scholarships offered.

I was lucky enough to be sitting in the stands just below where this camera was, having flown over with the Welsh team....and will never forget the assist by one of the Gait brothers. Not too clear on the video (see 7.58 mins).He was well marked with apparently no options....except, of course, a behind the back bullet-of-a feed to the guy on the crease! Btw, one of my team mates went home at half-time as it was such a one-sided game! He was gutted!
