  • Martha was my 4th cousin. My dad and grandfather told me so many story's. This is actually the first time I ever seen her! I think it's great that you keep her memory alive! Great video!

  • I just loved to hear ...and ...see this woman. I went up to Sunset Park, PA about 1955 to see her. It was over 125 miles but I just had to go. She radiated cheer and happiness to everyone who was there. Her guitar player then was Joe Edwards, and he had a good grip on the Merle Travis style. That was a good day for me!!!! I got it all!!!

  • I'll bet I'm the only Jewish person to have played guitar for Martha Carson. I left the tour in the middle when her nephew told me I had to convert to continue. The Blackwoods gave me a ride back to Nashville.

  • I am privileged to have written a couple of songs with Martha and even more so to have had her as a friend. Thanks for posting this video.

  • Great song, and I really enjoyed the slide show. 5 star for sure annd into my gospel playlist.

  • Nice video! She was a great lady of gospel music. I've got some of her records around here. Loved the pic with her and Kitty Wells. She was a ball of fire on stage for sure. I enjoyed seeing her on the Opry Reunion videos that came out some time back. Thanks for posting this.

  • God Bless her for sure! What an awesome lady! I saw her for the first time on a re-run of the Del Reeves show and I was just amazed at how much she gave in her performances! 5*****. And thank you for sharing with us
