  • @clearbluehiphop the truth is god son, he ain't the truth.

  • Blu is the truth

  • reminds me of gangstar

  • it will never be this good again..miss you good music.keep ya'll famous mainstream bs..imma keep undaground!

  • Sup

  • I can never say this is one of my favorite songs from him, its just one of my favorite songs period

  • first song i ever heard that says "no pun intended"

    love it!!!:D

  • lol y is fuze in the top comment hes a nice up and comer but lol gtfo

  • I cant grasp that concept that majors cant apprecite this instead we get dumbied down shit for me personally 97% of the artists are of no real life relatable substance I cant personally relate to something based material shit or worth and im gettin sick of hearing love songs on radio waves

  • @4:21 HOLY SHIT. MY FIRST BOOM BOX.

  • for being based out of LA they got a real east coast vibe. anyone agreee? dont take that the wrong way.

  • Why can't they play beautiful music like this on the radio? The radio is full of mainstream bullshit, therefore. I don't bother turning it on..

  • damm this mad nice holy shit real rap

  • Blu and Jay Electronica definitely need to work together on an EP or something, that would be sick.

  • Hip hop is dead??? What?!?

  • u dont see videos like this anymore. a video where its a feel good vibe.. no makin it rain, big booty gals ( even though i love em, lol) no club. just real hip hop that touches the soul.. blu smiles in this video. u dont see that anymore.. everybody gangsta.. and i know first hand thats not true..long live REAL HIP HOP....

  • @thegod104

There's plenty more videos like this, you aren't searching hard enough. Don't close your mind and say "long live REAL HIP HOP" that's disrespect to the countless other artists who are coming with the same fire blu does.

  • I didnt like his NOYORK album.. It was a big dissapointment to me... He should drop another album with Exile.

  • @ayoitsmeeeh they just dropped a new mixtape some weeks back titled give me my flowers while i can still smell them. really sweet joints on that mix, check it out if you haven't already.

  • Underground Hip-Hop is where it's at.

  • i remember back in the day when this had 17 thousand views. good to know such a talented rapper is finally getting some recognition he deserves for his dope tracks

  • Common > Mos Def > Blu > 90% of the rap industry.

  • @rouXillo j cole?

  • @rouXillo Talib Kweli? Cmon cant miss that

  • Til I buckle and become winded. And all the air from out my lings slips into the sky like we smoke. My peoples need hope and im the one wit it

  • i dont like rap...i like this.. hip hop.. ##fuck lil'' Wayne..

  • Greatest Lyricists... No Ignorance in this.. Pure fact.. These are the one's I know. no order.

    Blu

    Lupe Fiasco

Jay-Z <<< I hate to say that one but it's true

    Mos Def

  • @shaqkhi *Cough* Nas *Cough* ;)

  • @XMUNKY22 Thank you! Lol i knew I forgot someone... Nas Definitely .

  • @shaqkhi

    Rakim.

  • just so chill!! LA shit doesnt always have to be Gangsta!

  • how can you dislike this?

  • Blu should make a song with Bobby Ray and call it Blu-Ray. Haha.

  • Damn its rare to see a emcee with lyricism like this from cali

  • @Soo35cool nah its allot of them not distrubeted through the right outlets ...aka Murs, Fashawn, Kendrick Lamar,Dom Kenedy and that whole movement ( think about early Ras Kas, Xzibit, Safir...ect)...they got a whole movement that mess with Jake One ...hip hop aint dead ...just went underground...keep it alive homie

  • @Soo35cool Are you serious? Cali has so many lyrical talent.

  • this song makes me have a motivation to have my own crib #this song is amazing

  • I love hin

  • C:

  • Some Of The Best Tasting Music I Heard Inaa WHile! -MosDope

  • J cole and Blu together would be fucking history.

  • He called u daddy with nappy hair at christy's.

  • Comment removed

  • That's Huey Freeman in 15 years.

  • You have to be a serious hater to dislike this!

  • nas

    blu

    kendrick

  • @jessicahh25 nas is irrelevant

  • Westcoast is killing

  • honestly lyrically I can't think of anyone except maybe FUZE the Mc or black thought of the roots, even remotely close to touching blu and since he works with both of them don't even think that counts. I just wish he would start back rapping over classic hiphop his lyrics thrive best there.

  • @cantstopthehitsonfan Kendrik Lamarrrr

  • @cantstopthehitsonfan i really don't see the big deal with fuze refer some songs

  • @cantstopthehitsonfan Elzhi, Lupe Fiasco?

  • @Mrcharliem251

No to neither. Elzhi is overrated with his over usage of multis. It just gets old and his content half of the time consistent of small things from his childhood(when its a song that is supposed to have story behind it). But he is good. Lupe is good too but fell off, even after laser on his "Friend of the people" mixtape he just isn't up to par. They are both good, don't think I'm "hating" I'm just stating how I feel about it. All 3 of these artists are in my top 10.

  • @0194D Lupe didn't fall off on purpose, he had issues with his label. I agree though, lasrers wasn't up to his normal standard. FOTP, however was very good lyrically it was just the beats people dislike.

  • @Mrcharliem251

I know I had that originally in my comment but deleted it to save space( referring to the thing about Lupe's falling off not being his fault )

  • @cantstopthehitsonfan AZ, one of the greatest lyricists of all time. Talib Kweli could also definitely give Blu a run for his money. Eyedea was a lyrical monster as well. All three of these MC's can be on a competitive level with Blu.

  • @platinumchefindia LOL @ Talib Kweli

    Eyedea isn't close either.

  • @Awesteez eyedea was amazing. listen to exhausted love, paradise, etc. anything from the E&A album. his songs are so well thought out... he's like "wipe the face off my grin" or "we was the cream of the crop but it seems we've been robbed that's what happens when you trade in all your dreams for a job" or even "so for now my worthless counterwork has found a purpose everytime a pound of dirt produced I get my frown refurbished" cant deny eyedea is lyrically thought-provoking

  • @Awesteez AZ, Wise Intelligent, Masta Ace, CunninLynguists, CL Smooth, Vinnie Paz (before he got violent, or even some songs off servants)... you are being ignorant by saying nobody can touch Blu, because all of these guys are amazing lyricists and could give blu a run for his money

  • @cantstopthehitsonfan You need to start listening to Lupe Fiasco my friend..

  • @cantstopthehitsonfan I can think of a lot, but I agree. Blu is amazing.

  • @cantstopthehitsonfan Talib Kweli and Mos Def all I gotta say but yeah I feel ya I love this dude

  • @cantstopthehitsonfan ever heard of eyedea? theres a lyrical genius right there. but i still respect

  • @tie4535 @cantstopthehitsonfan Eyedea is pretty darn lyrical, sure. But in Big Pun's "Super Lyrical Ft. Blackthought" Pun out did blacktought easy. And I feel like the most underated lyrist ever are "K-rino" and "Canibus" I would say Elzhi as well. Plus "Brown Bag Allstars" and "Special Teams" are right up there. And last but not least "R.A The Rugged Man" "Killah Priest"

  • @cantstopthehitsonfan Lupe Fiasco?

  • @cantstopthehitsonfan only new person that can knda compare asher roth

  • @JesseHallHipHop

    not new.

  • @cantstopthehitsonfan elzhi and kendrick lamar...

  • @cantstopthehitsonfan Budden, Lupe & Elzhi also bruh them nikkas go in....I heard they make work together on a mixtape

  • @cantstopthehitsonfan canibus is a really good lyricist. He can use sophisticated vocab, but it flow real good. Technique also got a lotta good stuff with his use of politics and current world views

  • this is good man All City Chess Club brought me here

  • @chavo2k7

Ya, Lupe needs to get Blu more exposure to the mainstream. They should do an EP or something.

  • ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

  • Check out some of my stuff! Looking for comments on what ive got so far.

  • I would consider this art rather then music, musical art at its finest.

  • @HaydenCartercuhh are you implying that music isn't art? that everything isn't art?

  • @HaydenCartercuhh music IS art...

  • @HaydenCartercuhh music is art

  • @HaydenCartercuhh Don't mind-fuck yourself; music is art.

  • I had this blaring in my headphones while mowing the lawn on all those hot summer days....... *sigh*

  • This should be on the airways instead of J Cole...

  • @ti5212, You really need to listen to J. Cole beyond dat average azz album he dropped only a couple dope songs like Breakdown & Sideline Story were on it but songs from his mixtapes like Simba, I Get Up, It Won't Be Long, Lil Ghetto Nigga & The Badness should be on the airwaves instead of his commercial bullshit like Can't Get Enough or Work Out. That's what happens when u sign 2 a major label they dictate what u can bring out. I'm glad Blu left Warner Bros & released No York! himself.

  • He kinda reminds me of a younger common from the way he come across lyrically....

  • Good to see after 2 years of knowing this song and loving this music, Blu is still getting view/comments on this song! keep it moving! :)

  • This song gives me chills.

  • Blu & Kendrick Lamar...westcoast all day...if u dont feel blu then u aint real...period.

    same goes for kendrick!

  • Chicago loves Blu! At least this kid from Chicago does.. much love shits dope

  • Bubbles

  • @kindcromang lol i see it kinda

  • never seen a more terrible live performer. blu lost a fan last night in chicago.

  • @TheSixers57 Honestly the crowd was horrible... Anyway, I got love for Blu. Chicago still got love for you!

  • @msrac open mike eagle did what he could with the crowd... blu looked like he didnt wanna be there and mumbled lyrics. lazy as hell. chicago DOESN'T have love for you. stay in the studio blu.

  • @msrac fo sho fo blu!

i cant believe i fuckin missed him, lets get p.u.t.s up in here

  • @TheSixers57 what makes him a "terrible live performer"?? fuck you want him to do? crowd surf?? go up there and spit the way he does kid... effortlessly... true fans listen to the lyrics and his rappin skills...you obviously never heard enough of his shit... we know who was part of the lame crowd last night! what a shame...

  • he should link up with kendrick

  • What does he mean when he says "My Soul Alamo"?

I know of the Spanish Mission that happened in 1718 but does it correlate?

If anyone knows, please shed some light, thank you!

    :)

  • @RENEGADExSHinObi I thought he said "A La Mode" french for fashionable at the moment

  • @RENEGADExSHinObi He is saying 'soul a la mode', which basically means his soul is the method of his lyrics. At least I'm assuming that's what he's getting at.

  • @IfTheBannersFall It makes sense, thank you! :D

  • yeaaaaaa this is what is.... words from the heart . dope rymes put him on in stead of phat beats they play on.

  • DAMN makes me happy almost 1million views

we need to promote this real hip hop instead of complaining how lil wayne got a million views the first day

    STAY UP BLU
