First of all, nobody can see exactly what happened so much of the commenting here is ridiculous. However, the man was ordered to get down and did not. Not only did not he not obey the orders he charged the officer. At that point deadly force is permissible. Although the law varies from state to state, it is generally accepted nationaly that anytime a person FEELS like there life is in danger deadly force is warranted. the cop was the aggressor in this.. he wanted the fight.. he wanted to attack the man.. nothing i saw in this video would have stopped me from filing murder charges on the cop. as an officer of the law.. he should have been in manage of the event. he could have stopped traffic and waited for other officers to help in the issue but instead he acted out of the bravado that so many junkie cops have. the police forces are as out of control as the criminals they produce.

Mallory was given ample opportunity to comply with the PO commands. He was looking for an opening to attack. When the Taser failed, he made his move.
Mallory intended to cause serious bodily injury or death to the PO, therefore, the shooting was moral and justifiable.

Excellent job by the cops...if you come on the scene and the suspect is slamming your fellow cops head into the concrete that is considered deadly force and he did exactly what he should have done. The man followed the cops orders to come accross the rail, then the cop pulls a tazer on him, then proceeds to threaten him and taz him, the man defends himself only to be attacked by yet another cop and in this process is shot. the man is UNARMED. Yes, it is police brutality. The man was following orders up until the cop tazed him for following orders. The officer clearly warned him, and the idiot defied him. I feel the taser was a good call, and obviously the perp had different intentions that further justify the officers actions. I see no guilt here on part of the officer. There are plenty of brutality cases, and I would pay to see those nazis hung...

If a citizen's arrest must be made it should be made with a dozen other law abiding citizens approach the officer while they are off duty at their home and arrest them properly. this video clearly shows what happens when you defend yourself from a cop while outnumbered.
