Version sucks. It's far too busy for a MM song. The appeal of Cowboy Dan was the spidery guitar lines and Issac's desperate voice. This just makes it into some rock song. It's one of my favorites so perhaps I'm being overly critical, and I understand it's art so I shouldn't really cast judgment on it, but it just doesn't carry the same weight as the original.

I have been listening to them for a long, long time and seen them live 4 times. I hate modest mouse fans more and more every time. Modest Mouse has the most pretentious fans ever. It's always a competition of who has listened to them for longer or been to more of their shows. Too bad modest mouse is awful live. This song was awesome but all their live songs just sound like their album. There were some much better shows that weekend
