You would be going over 120mph.... do you want to loop it, or get a nice tank slapper that fast? Nahhhh. which is why 1st and 2nd power wheelies are the best, and you have the best tourque.
A motorcycle can power wheelie in 6th gear if it has enough power. I don't know why anyone would think 1st is the only gear you can power wheelie with. It's all relative to power/weight ratio. Would someone please explain their logic behind 1st gear power wheelies only. I'm not trying to insult anyones intelligence as some cowards do on comment boards, I'm just curious.

when ever you are coming down from your wheelie try to close the throttle slower so you dont slam the front end down. it will ruin your fork seals and trust me you dont want the oil to poor on the street you are riding over. other than that you are doing well. whenever you are comfortable try to clutch it, its a lot smoother
do you just give full throttle or do you close it fast and then accelerate hard? do you have to sit more backward in order to get less weight on your backwheel?
i cant bring my r6 up just by accelerating.. but if i accelerate to ~9000rpm ,close the throttle and accelerate afterwards really hard the front wheel comes up..
@WwAste Try at about 9-10k in 1st, holding clutch, red line it, shift into second and release clutch as you shift up, after shifting up and dropping clutch, hold throttle at about 75% and balance your weight forward above the tank.
@WwAste thats it!! you did the right thing bro, just take it easy and wear proper gears, open throttle up to 7000 - 9000 rpm close and open it again, dont over accelerate and make sure your foot covers the brake..
nice, im on my first bike, its just a 99 gsxr 600, had it about three months and im already ridin wheelies for about a block, but since its not fuel injected its very very iffy in second gear

adrenalynejunky: have you ridden a sport bike?... i have a new 08 gsxr and i'd be lucky to power up the wheelie in second if i was on my back pegs and going about 60+ MPH....not that i would ever try cause i'd prob come down crooked while jerking on it.. sooo i just clutch up.. learn about bikes man.., and i've only been riddin a bike for 3 months..

@thev10snake1 of course there is always risk. your forks, wheel could get brake by your wheel hitting the ground. the high rpm's could stress the engine.
