This anime has so much love in it. Story-wise, art-wise, everything-wise. It's just a very loveable series. I really love this song. It's catchy and in a way marks a new beginning. The first One Piece song was called "We are". This one is called "We go". Do you think there will be a special version of this where the Mugiwara Pirates sing it like they did with "We are"?

Naruto is popular in Japan. It's just that One Piece is much, much more popular. Like I said, by an order of magnitude.

To speak of popularity is not even to speak of quality--after all BLEACH does much better than it deserves, seeing as it's complete horseshit. That being said, Oda has worked hard to secure his spot at the top, and it's quite easy to see why the series endears itself to so many. Naruto, apart from its declining quality, is just more niche than a well executed adventure series.

One Piece has got to be the best anime ever. Minimal fillers. Great storyline and character development. Humorous too! I believe people who watch anime, should...or MUST watch One Piece because it's better than any other animes out there. Well, if you're a girl and dislikes battle-type anime, then err, hehe. :D

Merchandise-wise, not only is Chopper absolutely everywhere, but ever since Strong World caused One Piece's popularity to explode, promotional material is just ubiquitous. You have talk shows featuring One Piece and Oda it's so successful. Also, One Piece is tops in JUMP's Table of Contents as well.

Its ninja can hardly be likened to real historical ninja--they're more like a cross between the cartoon version with cartoony powers (e.g., shadow clones) and ordinary mercenaries. The cartoon version of ninja are used just as much in Western media.

The idea that Naruto is like Japanese culture is probably why it's so popular in the West, but that idea betrays an ignorance of Japanese media, and Japan in general

One thing the support characters are mostly useless like Sakura, others, and etc. Everybody on One Piece has a specific goal they want to achieve, bonds on Naruto are important but it does not compare to the bonds that the pirates on One Piece share for each other.

@NarutoRocks2011 Really? Dude One Piece has a whole entire tour based on itself. Its like an amusement park for One Piece. In fact One Piece is the only manga/anime to ever have one. It sold more volumes than naruto and bleach combined 2 years ago. In 2010 One Piece again maintained its top spot with 32,343,809 copies sold, more than second Naruto, third Kimi ni Todoke, fourth Fairy Tail, fifth Bleach and sixth Fullmetal Alchemist combined. And yet you expect people to believe no one likes OP?
