  • It's music like this that keeps me up 'way to late watching Youtube videos.

Alison Krauss is a nice harmony touch to this song.

  • Ear candy..?..If so...you'd have to grease the door jams of my house to squeeze me out the front door..cause I'd weigh 893 lbs.....

  • have tickets for ricky skaggs at watseka theatre on friday aug 26. cant wait.

  • AMEN GeorgiaBoy1961, AMEN !

  • Words can't describe what I feel when I hear Doc Watson. I have loved his music and humor for more years than I can remember. I'll be sad to lose Doc when his time on Earth is done, but the tradition is in good hands with Ricky Skaggs and Allison Krause. I hope they will keep the flame burning for traditional & mountain music, as Doc has for so many years. It warms this old Southern man's heart to hear some good old traditional music done the right way. It's a lost art.

  • A morbidly beautiful song

  • Perfect! What else can I say?

  • nobody like these people on earth

    but

    well

    them

  • Doc Watson's "Lets go down to the Valley and Pray" has been removed by YT. Allison Krauss must have been 'bought'.??

  • Love it but have heard other lines which I like "darlin' say that you'll be mine, in no others arms entwine.." Thanks for posting this.

  • This is my ver favourite version of this song. First heard it on Galaxie FolkRoots and have been looking for it since.

  • Isn't American culture great? Thanks, Bill Monroe.

  • There will never ever be another performer that has the God given talent of our National Treasure......Doc Watson. He sings and plays from the heart and makes it so easy to relate to words and melodies. I have been truly blesssed to have been counted among his most faithful followers for so many years and growing up a "stone's throw" away from his home.

  • These 4 might have the greatest number of grammy awards to ever perform together. Great performance.

  • Totally melted. What a collection of talent on one of my favorite songs. Thanks for posting this great one, Laurie.

  • Great old song done by fine talent.

  • Love this old song; hadn't heard it in years. This is a great rendition.

  • Are there any more vids from this concert? Please!

  • Hard to find a better combo than these four. So much talent. Thanks.

  • Guitar, Banjo, Mandolino, Voce.

    What more?

    Only Thanks to Laurie

  • Brilliant
