  • I liked the lords-a-leaping on spacehoppers!

  • Wallace & Gromit and Vic & Bob - I defy you to be the slightest bit gushy with joy

  • whats with the batman version on 2:30?

  • @Terrorcowboy It was the premiere of the Tim Burton film.

  • This guy sounds like MALCOLM with the cold from Vick nasal spray advert

  • Xmas wrapping . Laugh, smile , cry and lost in nostalga......massive fan and heartiest congratulations. Without being creepy or wierd.....thank you! best wishes from a delighted lover of your work. Good onya and keep it up!. Encore !!

  • 4:23 ident seems kinda creepy

  • Brilliant! If the BBC had any sense they would string parts 1-3 together and make a great Christmas Eve 30 minute programme (on BBC2 or BBC4 perhaps?). I'd watch it. Can we expect to see a 'Christmas Wrapping: Xmas at the BBC, 2000-2010' in the not too distant future.

  • Nostalgia-o-rama! Really enjoyed this, felt like the video equivalent of unpacking your Christmas decorations and reading last year's Radio Times. *warm glow*

  • Bring on the 2001-2009 xmas wrapping let's see what you make of BBC1's 08 and 09 efforts!!!

  • "HE GOES STRAIGHT THROUGH THE CUPBOARD!!!"

My brother and I loved that BBC One Christmas Ident from 1990 and raced each other to see who could shout it first.

    xx

  • I was born in 1990!

  • Youtube is basically a nostalgiafest for people born between 1981 and 1991, I only set up an account so I could wallow in childhood memories of cartoons you can't seem to find on DVD or VHS.

  • These were truly a joy to watch.

    Bravo, sir!

  • Aah the 90s was the best idents. My personal fav BBC2 Christmas day 1991 moon and stars (a trip to the moon). I was fifteen and in love that Christmas or so I thought and it gives me v happy memories.

Thank you for these - truly original. Genius compilation.

  • Same age as me! My favourite was the Evening version of the Christmas Eve 1993 ident on BBC 1.

  • Congratulations on a great trio of montages! Brilliant commentary and nicely put together... well done!

  • The 1990 xmas ident one was my favourite too! Maj the magician!

  • Batman the movie premiered on Christmas Day 6pm 1991..cool ident!! ... i was too tired to stay up and watch it ... probibly because i'd been up since 3am playing the computer games Santy Clause left ..yawn!...to be 11 years old again :)

  • The 2000 BBC2 xmas ident was re-used for the 2006 winter olympics, not 2002.

  • I do hope you do the next batch soon. I wish the US would do this for their networks.

  • Don't any US channels have Christmas idents?

  • I'm a subcriber to tv cream times who put the link in their weekly mail out. Its brilliant what you ahve done putting them together in a montage, thanks for posting it. I'll be forragibg through my old video tapes to see what I have lurking now. I was glad to see BBC 2 using the same idents this year as I had recorded them last year on my old recorders hard drive, which subsequently developed a an irreprable fault which meant I lost the recording.

  • vERY NICE JOB. I'm Puerto Rican but I love British culutre and TV!

Merry Christmas and a happy new year! Puerto Rican Love from NYC

P.S.: The Bat signal one was my favorite

    A++++++++

  • 'It's the end, but the moment has been prepared for.'

Sorry, but this had rather more gravitas when the fourth Doctor said it...

  • Alright so putting the logo on top of a tr-oh forget it.

  • with stereo and 888 on.

  • Very enjoyable,I never gave them much thought ,it never occured to me how they are works of art in their own right.I will pay close attention to this years.
