Hey will gta4 work with my computer here are the specs.

Intel pentium D 3.00ghz

Nvidia gforce 256mb graphics card (overclocked to 512mb)

im looking for some SSD to replace Samsung HDD.

then, the pc will be fastest than the other with the W-D HDD... i think.

in boot time yes, SSD is fastest, also i think the game will be fastest too.

hey, don't just look at CPU, VGA and RAM...

it's also needed a good HD.

not a Caviar Black...but the hdd must be in good condition 'cause it can RUIN the gameplay.

see: i have 2 pcs, SAME components in both... 4 Gb RAM(DualChannel), HD4870, AMD AIIX2255

just the hdd is not the same.

1: Samsung 500 Gb, it's in bad condition, a little.

2: Brand New Western-Digital 500 Gb...

500 Gb, 7200 RPM and 16 Mb Cache for both.

but, 1(Samsung) CANT EVEN PLAY CS 1.5 and 2(W-D) plays any game and very playable.

Dont worry the game is the worst port for PC I've ever seen so the default settings dont work usually you must set the graphics lower. However, my pc runs it on all high full hd, default was medium on 720p... Install patches and you will get a performance

I played it out 100% with a laptop, specs: amd athlon ii x2 64 2,1ghz, 3gb ddr2 ram, integrated radeon hd3200 (available: 256mb xd), on all low, game booster, 800x600. Now i have a better desktop but I enjoyed playing it on that laptop with 17-27 fps xdd

@mateusnardicamargo yes you run but you can run better if you use windows xp on your pc or windows 7 if you wont play on vista you have to buy a new cpu.

hello i just brout a Pentium d 2.8ghz 820 chip set and a 1gb ddr ram free with it, and it came with a hole computer that has a little problem but i can fix it. i got this for 30 pounds and a free view card too, a agp fx5500 by the way is that a good price for it?

oh it's ram ddr2 533mhz or 800mhz mine is 800mhz matched ram plz anwers me the problem is the cpu fans got a lose fitting.

@aendre94 thats because gta 4 needs more cpu than anything. it only eats 800mb on my system but uses up 80% of the processor at high speed driving with all candy enabled and thats a core i7 870 and i only average 40fps and i do get stutters all the time lol my freind has a system about 3x as powerful with the infamous xfx 5970 and a core i7 980x and 8gb of ram and it stutters all the time too lol. all these vids look good because fraps records at a specific frame rate. hence the horrible driving

@Gameconsoleman this is a bug just like a gta 4 bugs I had in San Andreas, a problem with the frame skipping, this happens only in the PC version, when the vehicles are on high speed of an impression to be fighting no matter how good your pc it happens.

obs.a engine of gta 4 is a more powerful version of the engine used in san andreas or an evolution of the old engine would be normal if some problems remain.

@031281670 Pentium D? man, you shouldn'.t. if it's not too late. better go buy yourself a quad, it's not too expensive these days. vascokok only showed us the gameplay around the beach, i think it's kinda impossible for him to play around the city with all the stutter. i had a Pentium D not a long time ago too.

all you guys with 4730 hd sapphire and amd x2 245 with 2 gbs of ram YOU can play it for sure i have 34 fps to 53 on myin i got all on high and 100 on all but the distance thing is 1 it will work!

i just use a commandline and the pach 1.0.3.0 is the best t get high FPS but still can't play online now I'am using the 1.0.4.0 and I can play online but the frame rate dropped a bit
