They people get zero treatment and have no access to medicine because Cuba is the worst paying country in the hemisphere. Let me remind you there is no embargo on food and medicine from the US. Companies in the US like Johnson and Johnson, Pfizer, Conagra etc all sell to Alimport which is Fidel's company.

Healthcare in Cuba is FREE, so small salary doesnt prevent cubans from getting excellent healthcare. Despite being a portuguese socialist, don´t confund with communist ( In Europe The Socialist Parties are Social Democrats meaning moderate left) I admire Che Guevara because after the Cuban Revolution he could just sit there as a minister, smoking the finest cigars and enjoying his life and yet he choose to continue to fight for his beliefs in Africa and in Bolivia where he later came to die. I do believe that It was the extreme poverty and exploitation that he saw all over Latin America

Hey Flying I sell medicine to the Cuban Government and the system of Medicine sucks dude. They had to call Sabrido from Spain to save Castro's life, and had to do the same for Chavez. They people get zero treatment and have no access to medicine because Cuba is the worst paying country in the hemisphere. Let me remind you there is no embargo on food and medicine from the US. Companies in the US like Johnson and Johnson, Pfizer, Conagra etc all sell to Alimport which is Fidel's company.

@keyratcane66 Actually Cuba has best healthcare in Caribbean and Cuba has longest life expectancy from all caribbean island states, same that USA has. Healthcare in Cuba is FREE, so small salary doesnt prevent cubans from getting excellent healthcare. Also, although medicine may not be in embargo completely anymore, still embargo is so big that it largely prevents Cuba from getting rich, which prevents them from buying some most expensive medicine.
Travelling to Cuba next year <3 Fuck USA.

@keyratcane66 Bullshit, there has been embargo on medicine. Without Castro Cuba would be like Haiti, ruined by capitalist dictators. Cuba is not on embargo because of bad human rights, its on embargo because of communism and its history. USA does not give a shit about human rights, theres lots of countries with much worse human rights and USA selling weapons to them, for example Saudi Arabia. USA only cares about oil.
