@guily6669 Sadly this might never be possible on the new color models, though. I think I read a post somewhere talking about it. From experience, I think they'll figure it out, but it will take 3 years, like it did for Ndless 1.0 to come out. I hope you got a Nspire with black and white screen and OS 2.0.1/2.1.0 on it so you can play games.
@BamitZzU tell that to the hundreds that learned how to program on a calc and now have a high paying job due to it. Yes math is important but it is not more important then other things. yes its a game but he learned how to program not just by math alone.
Its these silly games that get your foot into the door of programing that can lead into much higher things.
you can call these games silly all you want but i think by doing that you are missing the whole point.
@madmax2069 Don't worry, either he's just trolling, or he's from TI-Nspire Google Group or Casiocalc. org (which both have plenty of calc game haters)
@madmax2069 Yeah true. I remember I got a lot of them on my Omnimaga 7th anniversary Tribute video back in 2008. Someone was claiming that calc programming was a waste of time, which isn't true, considering certain people got into computer programming with the help of their z80 assembly and even TI-BASIC knowledge.
I did some digging and TI-Nspire Touchpad (both CAS and non-CAS) does NOT work with the Ndless as of 1st Novemeber 2010. Lets just hope they update it soon enough =)
Not so long ago, they came out with a TI-Nspire with a touchpad (no not a touchscreen, a touchPAD), which is featured as a darkblue/light grey non-CAS version and a black CAS version.
They also changed a lot of buttons on that one so would be nice to know if this works for that too =)
@amazing0187 I thought there were only light blue, gray and black TI-Nspires? O.o
Those games can be googled (search for Game Boy and Game Boy color ROMs) and the emulator is available at one of the links in the description (as well as Ndless)
this is so ironic. if dj could see a few months into the future he would know that the 2.1 os doesn't allow any downgrading below os 1.6. the title should be changed to 'oh shit they're stopping us now'. sadly, i fell into the category of uninformed ti users and following my os upgrade i did a little research and found all this out. i was pissed at first knowing i would never use ndless but then i found out i needed at least 2.0 os to run my cas touchpad. well whatever. hoping for ndless 2.0...
@echristian406 If you get a clickpad keypad and put it on your touchpad Nspire you can actually downgrade to 1.1. If you got 2.1, you need to install Nleash from ticalc.org, though, to break the anti-downgrade protection.
Still, I hope for Ndless 2.0. Seems like TI decided to fight the community like Apple did with iPhone jailbreakers.
@heromiles Make sure to install gbc4nspire, found on Omnimaga or Ticalc websites, first. Then Google for some Gameboy or Gameboy Color ROMs and append .tns at the end of the ROM file names.
i have a TI-nspire, but just with TI-84 plus keypad, i cant open mirageos, it restart the calculator, what i can do??i want to play on mi calculator!!
@lolitylols A Gameboy Color emulator is way beyond the TI-84 Plus capabilities. Just a regular GB one runs at 4x slower speed than normal, even if it was coded by one of the best TI-84 assembly coder.
Might borrow my friends old Nspire, he uses an 84 now and says hell let me borrow his Nspire... I miss pokemon crystal b/c my parents threw out all my video games and im banned from video games... I MISS CRYSTAL IT WAS THE BEST!
hey, can u make a video showing step by step how to install ndless and all the stuff needed to make this work? im so confused on how to get this to work. ive been trying for so long and searching but theres no info i can find on how to install this stuff.
Calc84maniac from Omnimaga worked on this around Christmas time, but unfortunately, the project has been dormant for the past 3 months, as he's now focusing on a new TI-83 Plus Super Mario clone better than the one on TiCalc website. He told me the 3D stuff is not dead, though, he just tend to switch from a project to another of his 5 or 6 projects
Unfortunately, on my site I am not allowed to provide ROMs, but if you search french TI websites, TI-BANK has some GB/GBC ROMs and google will find you other results if you be careful.
Once you got a GB or GBC file, add a .tns extension at the end of it then send it to your TI-Nspire along with the emulator. Unlike the TI-84 Plus GB emu, the Nspire one requires no modification of the ROM files besides changing the extension.
I just shat my pants

@guily6669 Ah ok. If it's the new fx-cg10 or 20, eventually there might be more games for it, since unlike the Nspire, it is not as locked down.
