Did you know? The movie on Body Wars was directed by Spock (Leonard Nimoy) and starred Ali Mills (Elizabeth Shue, AKA Daniel Larusso's girlfriend in the Karate Kid.
ive noticed that every simulator ride lik this has people tht represent the ride r on it like chewbacha on star tours and doctors on this. itz kind freaky
I recognize The oh of pleasure at the begining! that was the first place i heard it I always wanted to own the song, it was also in a documentary years later i saw in college so i knew it was a real song. Then finally gta IV's Journey fm provided me with a way to identify it.
nope! may have been closed for same reason I didn' t want to ride it: going in the body (jump in eye from spy kids 2: island of lost dreams and jump in mouth from snow dogs)
Wow. Elizabeth Shue. Loved her in Adventures in Babysitting. I was at Epcot earlier this month and saw the building closed. So sad. Maybe she can sponser the pavilion so we all can enjoy the pavilion again. Elizabeth, hear our plee... will ya??
Other way around. This was in EPCOT before STAR TOURS was in (was MGM-Studios) Hollywood Studios. It sucks that the pavilion closed, I was there for the 2009 International Flower and Garden Festival, and everything was gone.
No it is not. This ride is completely different. The only connection is the technology. Otherwise, there is a different plot, a different theme, different actors, heck, even different movements! What I mean by different movements is that this ride was much more rougher and wilder than Star Tours. Both rides are different rides in various ways...
Sorry to burst your bubble, to be the bearer of bad tidings, but they closed The Timekeeper and added Monsters Inc. : Laugh Floor. I am amazed they replaced it. It was a superb ride. I wish they could consider adding it to Future World. It fits right in...
I miss this ride, it was one of my Favorites when it was open, when ever i was in Disney I would make it a point to go to EPCOT everyday, just to go on this ride..such a bummer its closed now, i wish they would open it again
This is my favorite ride at Disney there ever was.. Too bad its just siiting there collecting dust now.. Disney gutted everything there except Body Wars and Cranium command but its sad they dont have a sponsor to open them back up! I want to ride so bad!! But unless they get a sponsor it doesn't look good.. :(
Body Wars is like the 1966 movie Fantastic Voyage and they need reopen.

This is like the movie Fantastic Voyage from the 1960's if it's closed and if they don't
know what to do with it they and rename the ride into Fantastic Voyage Body Wars
and keep the ride open for good to bring more guests insted of the leaving the place
empty what do you guy's say.

The commander and the pilot look kind of familiar. Am I going crazy, or were they in something else Disney-related?
ztslovebird 1 year ago
@ztslovebird the pilot is played by tim matheson from national lampoon's animal house and the movie "1941".

hypemiitrudog07 2 years ago
@swimmolly Yes, but the building is rarely open because it's not very popular (therefore, the ride is rarely open)

Pretty cool that Tim Matheson played the pilot of the ship. He's was once a Disney kid actor just like Kurt Russell.
