matt, yes you will have too hook it up too your computer and run blackrain again. This is called thethered jailbreak, it will be on all ipods and iphones bought after november. hope i helped :)

@matteumayo Yes When you use Blackra1n you cannot reboot. or else you will have to re jailbreak. but it saves all your downloads. so you don't have to re download them. black rain usually takes like 30 seconds to re jailbreak

worked good for me. I have a 3g, 1 year old, unlocked it a year ago. Was up all night installing a MM server on my home network, iphoned bbeped a dead battery. Guess what, my wife played with itunes, she zapped my iphone. Found this blacksnow sheite, downloaded it, phone was working in 3 minutes.

Well, we know that Apple has stated that unlocking will void warranty. Blacksn0w is reversible as I have been told, but I am not sure if there are any "traces" left behind that someone could tell if it had been unlocked. You can also reapply the factory 3.1.2 and that should clear the unlock if I am not mistaken.
