Don't know if you have read the old Spider-man stories, but it was after he went to college that his social life began getting better and he stopped being as nerdy as he was back in the first 30 editions. And even though he was a nerd, he was attractive, I remember MJ saying that even though Peter was a bookworm he sure knew how to get dressed. So basically, he was good looking, funny, and intelligent. Is that enough for you?

When Peter had snagged her with the webbing, that didn't kill her. Goblin had actually killed her before Spidey had even gotten too the the bridge. Goblin killed her.

Okay have you even read the comics? Peter met Gwen and Harry in ASM#31, and MJ in ASM#42. Peter then CHOSE Gwen over MJ, and no matter how you try, you can't fit that retcon pregnancy into the original timeline. Also, JMS(who I boycotted after Sins Past) wanted it to be Peter's kids and was unhappy with editorial revoking it and making it Norman's. Watch ep13 of the Spectacular Spidey cartoon. Read the comics. Gwen was better, every time.

Not to mention one of the reasons Gwen was killed off in the first place is because the writer at the time thought she was a bland crybaby and prefered Peter to be with Mary Jane Stan Lee actually intended for Peter to marry Gwen.

That's true. Although, you're wrong about Gwen being a cry baby. Remember, Gwen was stronger than Mary Jane, emotionally. Where Mary Jane grew up in a broken home. Gwen's parents loved Gwen. Remember, George Stacy (Gwen's father) told Peter before he had died saving the child, that he had discovered Peter's secret that he is Spider-Man, and had given him full trust and responsibility for care of Gwen.

I get really pissed off when Gwen Stacy died instead of another woman who should have died. I only wish that Gwen Stacy would marry Peter Parker i. It's not pointless. Captain Stacy sacrificed himself saving that child from the falling debris. Placed his trust into Peter, and swore his loyalty that he had never told a soul about Peter's secret. Yes, Gwen Stacy's death is sad. But, it's a legacy! I love Gwen Stacy more than any other character. (Mary Jane not included.) MJ stands proudly next too Gwen. Gwen kicks Lois Lane's ass!

Im growing so tired of the brand new day story line. This retroactive continuity thing they are pulling is bull flop. You can't undo50+ years worth of stories in the matter of the year. J. M. Well with the option of MJ or Gwen, Peter chose Gwen. Stan Lee got it right the first time. Whether Gerry Conway just liked MJ more or because they painted Peter into a corner by giving him a true love, they got him out just to paint him into a worse corner with MJ and look how the comics turned out now. They should have just let him deal with being in that corner the first time, he's Spider-Man and a wet floor is probably the least of his worries.

Sins Past doesn't even fit in with the events in Gwen's life. Aside from that the writer wasn't proud of it and was hoped to retcon it but never got the chance to.

Speaking of modern comics it's lame that Norman got brought back, it really messes up the depth of his final victory and the tragic loss of Gwen.

Ok, first of all the reason Gwen died was because they wanted a really tramtic even to happen in Peter's life, and the writer wanted to put MJ with Peter so they decided to kill off Gwen (they got loads of hate mail because of this by the way).
