There's no denying Feitosa is a good fighter, but he couldn't finish Kazumi Hajime off even if he rampaged on him like Bob Sapp did on Ernesto Hoost. His performance compared to Kazumi's performance on the second round proved he just wasn't doing much damage and exhausted himself doing all those punches and kicks. Second round came in, he's out of stamina. Out of stamina = out of fight. Kazumi capitalized.
@gutiux lol feitosa was losing before, thats why he went all out on 3rd round, to take it to extention or try and win it & take out kazumi, but he couldn't.
Glaube won this fight in the first round....It´s clear for all to see, This was a Japan plan `cos everybody knows that he had been hurt seriously in the legs the fight before...Of course he wouldn´t support one more round...Glaube won in the first round!!! BULLSHIT UNJUSTICE
@yocyan12 i like them both, but kyokushin really uses their own weight for their advantage (heavier=harder pound, harder kick),,,, so u cant say that that's not karate
@Sagramorbald are you suggesting that 'brazilian kick' ,as you ignorantly call it, is not taught by japanese senseis? This kick has been taught all over the world in Kyokushin for at least 25 yrs. It is not brazilian. It only got that name because Feitosa and Filho used it successfully in K1 and the ignorant K1 audience did not realise this kick is standard in Kyokushin.
@aldridge1 So the ignorant JAPANESE public didn't know it was used for 25 years?
The kick was not developed in Brazil, but it was polished to a whole new level, and the confidence to use it increased as it was made better and better. You don't get to have a movement called after your contry when you fight on the original culture of a martial art unless it's special, sorry.
japanese kickboxing fans were ignorant of this technique in kyokushin, yes absolutely. In the Kyokushin community it is not known as a brazilian kick. It is called jodan (head) oroshi (downward) geri (kick) in Kyokushin syllabus and has been taught to be used at all heights from geidan (leg) to Jodan (head) for many years. Go to Shihan Isobe's dojo in Sao Paulo and ask him he will tell you the same thing (Shihan Isobe is the man who brought this kick to Brazil)
I do kyokushin too, but I was never taught to waste your energy spamming those oh so long punches and knees that are always missing, look at glaube, he was totally out of stamina at the extension, one kick and a couple of punches from Hajime drew the breath out of him
All I see is a great fight between two magnificent martial artists. Respect to both of them.

Amazing, it shows that it doesn't matter if your opponent is stronger physically than you are, you can always win.
Amazing fight.

Kazumi is very relaxed all along the fight.
Feitosa is very aggressive from the very first beginning of the fight.
TWO minutes later Feitosa was exhausted, on the contrary,
Two and half minutes later Kazumi started using his remained stamina to beat Feitosa like shit.
In addition, Feitosa looks like 10 kg heavier than Hajime. If so, he had the muscle edge over Kazumi.

Kazumi is excellent. He is MA-AI ruler.
