@veganleo Thank you, all is good! This vid's about a year old now, and I wound up healing without more surgery! I'm still thankful everyday for a fully working bladder!!!
My docotr the other day even after asking 5 times for images from the surgery. He came 2 my bedside with the color images. I was grogy & u dont have the wits to ask much then. My husband didnt know what 2 ask just listend. The doc folded the images up and placed them in his jacket and i was led out the door to the car. Walked. He did the hystorectomy and saw the damage and im just like u so frustrated. Hope u recover 2!
So sorry to hear about your ordeal. Very frustrating and difficult to stay positive throughout. I hope your pain stays manageable.
I'm pleased to say that I healed up without further surgery. I'm extremely thankful. I still worry about a recurrence of the fistula, but I'm told that won't happen. Maybe with some time I'll feel more secure about it...
I am on my third day of recovery from exploratory surgery. I had a hystorectomy in 02 and was left with scar tissue. He went in the other day because Ive had severe abdominal p[ain and a large cyst that he wanted to remove. But closed me after seeign a wall of scar tissue. Told me to look for a good general surgeon. I feel your pain! hope U do well. I'm done with doctors. I'
ll live with this pain now. I know more surgery means more scar. I'm 2 tired now.
Thanks Transoutlaw. God i don't kow how you did it but hope you get through that. To tell u the truth how u explained your ordeal made me really think once again. Things u mention like haven given more time bingo so much about how nervous we r about all this. We r so fragile inside and I'm trying to do my own research. Trust is so hard to allow now for me. I hope u do well & stay as strong as you have been.
I'm in Canada, so repair surgery would be covered by health insurance. What wouldn't be covered is my time off work (self-employed = no vacation pay) and travel expenses. These would amount to several $K.
oh f@#!! i feel like punching the doctor! i know it was a mistake, but still, im enraged!! Sorry dude, it must really suck. But again we are all hoping you get through this smoothly and as fast as possible.
Thanks for all the vibes folks! You are some powerful peeps. I'm happy to say that I'm having my most leak-free day today of this second episode. So, it appears to be healing again. I'm worried about how strong it will heal to though, and I wonder if I'll ever feel secure about not leaking again...?!
oh man! I would be really pissed! You have such a positive drive, I don't know how you do it. Hopefully it will heal again on its own. Sending good vibes your way
so sorry to hear this dude....i'm sending good thoughts your way and hope u heal again!!! hang in there! i can't even imagine the frustration u must feel.
I am sorry to hear that this has happened. I would be more than a little frustrated. I hope that it does heal back up--and quickly! best wishes, brother. Lloyd
No, I had Dr. Bagdan in Comox, BC. He is highly respected in his field. Dr. Knudsen, who did my funding assessment, along with my GP, had glowing things to say about him. And despite what's happened, I would recommend him. VVF is very rare, and it was caused by just one poorly placed stitch. It had never happened to Dr. Bagdan in his 20+ years of practice. There is no evidence of negligence. Now, would he use silver nitrate with patient who was just a few weeks VVF symptom free? I doubt it.
Dude I didn't know this was going on with you. You're a much better person than me man cuz I certainly would have lost trust in these docs by now. But I'm sure they're doing the best they can to help you. Chin up man, hope you feel better soon.
oh no! i'm so sorry! wishing you well.

I can only imagine how frustrated you must be. Seriously. Grrr...
It seems like we need to be experts on almost everything, which is hard when cold, hard facts are often hard to come by.
