  • @23Rexmagnum23 And jkd and silat

  • @23Rexmagnum23 and kkd and kali and every other except its own.

  • This is fucking retarded. Why would the douche on the bottom even hold guard without any bjj training? Like fuck, you noobs are training anti bjj without having the slightest clue of the guard

  • @Lejendary2 coz its a training drill

  • @23Rexmagnum23 teaches you how to spaz? lawl

  • Ilove the rolling elbow movements... Much like the Muay Borat method... dirty and lethal.... awesome demo....

  • yeap.. good techniques for using in the floor..

  • Anybody that says KFM isn't effective in MMA obviously hasn't tried it. I have just started encorporating it into my ground and pound techniques and it works amazing. If you have somebody in guard and they start doing hammers, elbows, etc to your legs and body you just want to open up your guard and get away...the second that guard is opened up theres the pass....KFM is amazing at opening things up such as that..as far as finishing a fight, I'm sure its capable but I've found it best in guard.

  • Keysi Fighting Method is a scam, rubber guard takes away all this, you wont have the space to do anything.

  • @GorillaKingdomFN

    shut your mouth nigger

  • coover

  • Sorry, I'n confused now. So you're 'digging out' Gracie JJ for doing the same as the KFM guys but the KFM guys do it in the name of good business!?!?!? Why the need for smug comments? Why does everyone get so caught up in 'systems' & the politics therein??

  • No just sayin that i seein commercials of gjj with rener and other family members promoting gjj as a street solution They see that people who are not interested in mma but pure self defense is a growing market doesnt mean it isn't effective just sayin y are you baggin on KFM if gjj is doin the exact same thing but a different market

  • because actually training is too hard for those keyboard blackbelts :P

  • Absolutely agree. BUT this video isn't about the street, it's about MMA. The KFM stuff is good, it's just that sometimes they come across as totally arrogant.

  • @ethaoroz

    shut it

  • I don't know how effective KFM is in MMA but it for sure is effective in the streets

  • wouldnt the bjj guy just grab wrist control or just hug him down or yeah just escape

  • ...always wouldnt, but....fuck its training 1 of 1000nds situations...

doesnt matter which "martial art" or "system" or wtf ever u train...u always train technics and situations which may happen...in a fight maybe u can use 1 of 1000 and maybe it will work...see how "boxers" are training defending by moving their bodies (i trained boxing my self) and then plz show me how often they use it in a fight...same as everything...dont matter if wing chung, boxing, bjj, kfm or whatever..just train!!!!!!

  • any links?

  • The thing about the Keysi guys is that they are master MARKETERS b/c of their original corporate backing. They realise that the MMA market is huge. Funny how KFM was marketed once upon a time as a pure 'street' solution. Now they've changed their tune. Funny that.

  • Funny how gracie jj was for mma then i see videos of street self defense from them funny that huh. Dude its just expanding who they sell there system to nothing wrong with that god i hope your not a business major

  • i understand what he is teaching, but in real life the fighter on the ground will be moving, squirming for a better position and not to mention throwing blows of his own as well as going for a submission hold. ive seen it myself, but his teachings have a point.

  • this guy doesnt factor in the fact that the opponent might slip and escape the guard position to stand up. You have to press your body as close as possible so the opponent doesnt easily get out, by doing so this technique is impossible to pull in real mma fight.

  • I've seen BJ Penn use that elbow to the quadracep then fire high. Doesn't seem too terrible to me.

  • "will we ever see this in a top tier MMA event? prob not as it seems to be to reliant on a passive/fatigued opponent."

TOTALLY AGREE WITH THIS. "Disecting a corpse", "dry land swimming", etc, etc

Find it interesting that even one of their own ambassadors competes in MMA fights BUT NONE of what he does is KFM!!!Watch the footage for yourself!

Let's see them up against the Gracies, Frank Shamrock, George St Pierre, etc.

  • will we ever see this in a top tier MMA event? prob not as it seems to be to reliant on a passive/fatigued opponent.

still interesting though, Andy Norman looks a bit of a machine, pretty poor coaching method though! far to much pressure/power being applied on the demo guy.

  • ive never seen it before and it looks like a really good method to learn with grappling, but why is he so rough on demonstrations, the students are groaning, its stupid. they will just be thinking what a prick, then they wont be thinking of the sequence. so they wont learn it propperly. away common sense.

  • He is demonstrating on other instructors

  • my bad

  • Comment removed

  • seems legit and very practical, this seems like it would be an effective ground and pound from guard if done correctly. Would love to see it used in a match

  • its very good the style ...ive trained in it a little at a class near me and if you already train freestyle or krav maga ,thai..it flows in very nicely as most good martial artists kno its about how you flow and not being stuck in the my styles bettsr than yours attitude.i wish tho the instructer i trained with was master norman seems like a cool guy with the right attitude

  • totally agree with ya

  • also all of this is applicable to standing as well i think.

  • yes it is

  • KFM is think is just a part of it, a technique. Part of the whole. It makes good sense when you get bombed on in close quarters. I like the guard application and it makes sense. I'd like to learn it but wouldn't relay on it alone. The moves looks sharp. They say it's not a sport martial art nor a reinvention of the wheel but the accumulated knowledge of years of fighting. I agree and like that methodology behind it.

  • And this is why I train in the KFM! Bad ass stuff. Really can't wait to move higher than yellow grade.

  • Do you know if their are any schools in Michigan that teach KFM? I'd love to learn it in conjunction with Krav Maga.

  • did you check that shadowing out by one of the guys!! impressive!!

  • Very exciting implications for MMA.

It would of course have to be put to the test, full contact, in terms of its capacity to do real damage inside the cage, but it certainly seems like it would at least be something that could wear down the opponent.

BTW, I don't believe that I've seen anyone in MMA with the kind of movement that Andy Norman is showing. Impressive...most impressive.

  • WOW Andy Norman is an amazing teacher! I want to be trained by him!

  • I want to see KFM in MMA action!!!!!!!
