  • Why the fuck are they bringing logic to a B movie? Didn't Ebert write a stupid B movie? Jesus who cares just enjoy the film. If it's not enjoyable then that is a reasonable critique.

  • First of all Tremors didn't go over "world wide" with audiences but got a great response once it came out on video... great movie and grossly underrated .

  • Yet another film that they bashed in its original release but praised when other Horror comedies came out. These guys were flaky critics who vary rarely gave a review based on what they learned in film school.

  • Citizen Kane

    The Godfather

    Apocalypse Now

    Tremors

  • they kind of ruined the twist of the movie in this review. In the first half of the first act, all we see is little tubes. So we think they are small and we can handle them. When they are revealed to be huge and monstrous. it takes the movie into a different level. what a classic film and a classic franchise.

  • what is up with the vicious Ebert-haters? Strangest thing I've seen on youtube....this little army of trolls hating on ... a film critic?? I just ... I don't get it

  • Tremors was scary and funny when I saw it as a kid, and I just saw it recently and it still holds up quite well.

  • I love this movie. I've seen too many times. : )

  • ebert is so ugly

  • This movie was very good. A send-up to old time b-movies but with big Hollywood style and lots of entertainment! It may not be masterpiece but it was a lot of fun.

  • The worms were blind , but they could sense vibrations, and travel through dirt. So while traveling through dirt, it's technically wrong to see that, because the worms were blind? Perhaps us looking at a black screen with rustling dirt and a tuning fork would have made more sense? Movies are visual... Maybe another movie where a blind man speaks, they should go black screen to get his point of view? Nonsense, Ebert didn't know what he was talking about... "Tremors" was great, and FUN!

  • So many shitty movies , thx to the laws of the universe we won't have enough time to watch'em all. Thank You Universe!

  • @stinkbandit I fuckin loved tremors when I was a kid, tremors is not a shitty movie!

  • love your channel name.

  • There was a show they did shortly afterward where they re-reviewed it and gave it two thumbs up.

  • Wow, Siskel and Ebert WAYYYY over thought this movie. It's a fun B Horror movie. It was never meant to be an oscar winner. Lighten up guys.

  • @NevadaWrangler

I don't think that was really the case. Listen to Ebert's last comment, I think he was right on the money.

  • @NevadaWrangler

Siskel and Ebert never "get" B Movies.

  • @imblessedso Ebert got his start writing B Movies and has given good reviews to B Movies.

  • i fucking love this movie

  • @TheSonomaDude So, we're not allowed to have an opinion, then?

  • @lb8068 Yah, pretty much :)

  • How can people hate this movie? Its a great horror comedy that has fantastic gags and great special effects. Anyone who hates it (if there IS anyone) can suck my big hairy pair.

  • @TheSonomaDude DITTO!

  • This movie could've been a lot better and a lot scarier. The concept is pretty creepy.

  • how are the POV shots technical errors? POV shots are for the sake of the audience in that they show where the monsters are headed to create suspence. they're not intended to depict sightless creatures as seeing. he boasts about being a college educated adult, yet he fails to understand a filmmaking concept most 10 year olds get.

  • I hate how all the pixels make Roger Ebert's face look in all of these YouTube videos.

  • @cstring420 Same here...It looks like he's melting all th time

  • They're not worms, they're Graboids! Ignorant slaphead.

  • Kevin Bacon automatically makes it the best movie EVER MADE. Lol

  • I own all 4 movies and I think they're great.

I miss the tv show, too.

  • @TomatoeAssassin well the 4th one wasnt

  • @TomatoeAssassin i agree

  • Fred Ward was always one of my most favorite actors, and This movie was awesome! I wish they could make movies like this now-a-days.

  • Walk without rhythm

    You won't attract the worm.

  • WOW!!!!!!!!! I thought they were going to DESTROY this movie!!!!!! This movie is terrible!!!!

  • @nathankrug idiot

  • i love this movie

  • Ebert is right, and Siskel is wrong like always.

  • These guys were thinking too much. Just watch the film and enjoy it.

  • Whats with Ebert's hair. I was reading something while listening this and tuned in when Ebert showed up and i was like: "Holy Cow".

  • This movie had a good premise but got boring after awhile and had it not had funny dialogue or Kevin Bacon, it would be forgettable.

Also, the sequels sucked big time!

  • I would give the film more credit than what they gave. It was a solid "B" movie and it didn't want to be anything more than that.

  • Jesus they spoiled the shit out of Nestor's death didn't they?

  • Sounds exactly like Dune's worms.

  • this movie is brill its an A- movie its not chesey enoth to be a B movie i love it

  • I didn't like this movie, i remember driving a friend of mine to the movie theater to see this movie, she went into the movie theater while i waited for her in the car, about an hour later, my friend came back, got into my car, and we drove off, she told me that it was scarey.

  • Tremors is a good flick. Should have got 2 thumbs up..

  • Tremors is awesome¡¡

  • Very entertaining movie

  • Tremors is B-movie gold! Slither is another great one too :)

  • Tremors is a damn near classic. I mean its just packed with humor and a great cast of actors. The scene in the basement that they mentioned is one of my favorite movie moments of all time.

  • This movie is great B-movie fun. I really dig the way Ebert reacted to it.

  • High quality B movie

  • 2:14, Ebert brought up a very similar complaint in Jaws 4

  • Ebert is concerned about the worms getting lonely 2:25

  • I think it's a decent cult classic, I would give it a 5/10.

  • @thatnerdyrefrenceguy Tremors diserves MUCH higher than a 5/10

  • Gene must have seen the wrong movie. "The worm explodes before it should explode" wtf is he talkin about? "There are many many flaws in this movie? NO! This movie is 100% genius and amazing. Its absolutly perfect in every way possible. And so are the sequels...

  • Two morons! This movie is best of it's genre. I watch it from time to time, and it never gets old.

  • @Chillton

    Exactly how I feel.

  • This is a movie you can go back and watch every 5-10 years. Been at least five years since I've seen it...

  • This movie is a horror movie for little girls. Sucks.

  • THIS MOVIE IS A CLASSIC!

  • Ebert does ask legitimate questions. What were the Worms doing in the meantime and why did they appear and why four? I know more of them show up later in the sequels but why did they suddenly return after all of that?

  • Bert, after killing the worm: "Guess ya broke into the wrong goddamn wreckroom didn't ya!" LOL what a Godshame. very good, fun movie

  • "That's sad that there are only 4, they must be lonely" AHAHAHAHA

  • There is a BLOODY AWESOME Flash-GAME about what movie!

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE

  • I had a great experience seeing this in college--me and my two friends were the only ones in theater. Very fond memories of this film.

  • I'm with Ebert_-- it's pretty fun!!!

  • Ah Tremors, I rember the summer that came out. Good memories! Nice little monster flick. . .

  • Roger's right. It's funny that Gene has an ivy league degree in philosophy (I think) and he's discussing giant worms.

  • No one is "too good" to discuss the philosophical intricacies of giant worms.

  • foiled again Ebes!

  • Tremors is a great example of a dumb smart movie. it blends a few different genres, and knows exactly what it's doing, while maintaining the facade of a silly creature feature.

  • @lamentate07 That sums up this movie

  • Tremors is a great creature feature.

  • It's funny, whenever Tremors comes on, I find myself watching it!

  • i like the fact that ebert takes the idea of relativity to his reviews...ya, tremors is no citizen kane, but for its purpose (to be a dumb, b-movie horror comedy) it serves its purpose...its just a dumb movie to watch for fun on a friday night with friends a case of beer LOL

  • That's exactly how they seem to me - like brothers. They bust each other's chops, but there's no real ill-will behind it.

  • Its not like it's Schindlers List or Pulp Fiction or some amazingly intricate movie

But i've seen those 2 a grand total of around 5 times

And i've seen tremors a good hundred times

Sometimes goofy fun is all you want.. let your brain sleep a little bit every now and then

  • it's funny seeing people trying to seriously analyze a movie with a #1 priority to not take itself seriously. i hate horror movies, but I love Tremors because it knows how lame it seems and capitalizes on it, and it's awesome because of that.

  • I love Tremors too oddly enough but I don't see it as a horror movie. It's Science Fiction inserted into a Thriller.

  • This movie was before its time`

  • i think you mean ahead of its time

  • Siskel really was not a horror movie fan. He also didn't like Scream or Friday the 13th.

  • Gene did like "Scream 2".

  • @benwasden28 He ripped apart Silence of the lambs for being too horror film like.

  • Dude they totally 0:48 - 1:06 it totally gives away that that character dies

  • haha i didnt think of that

    thats sillyness

  • In my top 3 films ever.

  • I love how VHS transfers make it look like there faces are melting.

  • has nothing to do with the analog source. these videos look great if transferred correctly. take a look at the hoop dreams segment on youtube

  • I didn't think the film wasn't as funny as I was told it was, but I still thought it was entertaining and funny enough to watch all the way through.

  • ít was a good movie but the set up took forever

  • This is an awesome movie!

  • Fantastic film! I loved all the characters. Very entertaining!

  • Critics think way too hard about movies sometimes. Tremors is a good time and shouldn't be taken too seriously. Arguing about POV shots with creatures that are blind.... Sheesh

  • generally theyre being pretty fair... ebert himself said it was 'goofy, dumb fun movie" as a good thing. they both liked all kinds of movies from arty stuff to b-movie kinda stuff like Tremors- i bet Ebert was the only critic of his age to recommend Devils Rejects a few years back! :)

  • Awesome movie.

  • Silly but likeable, take it in perspective but stil.. WHAT A HORRIBLE ENDING

  • How could anyone not like Tremors?

    Siskel was crazy

  • "It was a goofy, fun, dumb movie"

Yes sir it was. And THAT'S what made it AWESOME!

  • @trippleM1138 SONS O' BITCHES!

  • @trippleM1138 weird definition of awesome you have

  • This was always my favorite film growing up!

  • I loved this movie as a kid!

  • @ichater I'm 30 me too
