  • I'll _

  • good cover but the original has a charm to it that makes it better

  • I love a good cover, but all the retards talking shit about John Denver can go fuck themselves

  • @MamiyaOtaru John Denver is overrated. Oldie/Classic/Folk is NOT a synonym for "the best"

  • @spassti1338 I'm being serious, I've been listening to this version of the song since it came out. I actually thought it was Rancid when it first came out. I like it better.

  • @eko6028 No they don't, this version is ok but it doesn't compare to the original!

  • @SimpsonsGuy23 this is way better!

  • @red3chilli I will admit this one is pretty funny and catchy, but the original is better!

Give me 3 valid reasons why this one is better, they better be good.

  • @SimpsonsGuy23 Its upbeat and more fun, its, as you said, catchy, an its not by john denver!

  • @red3chilli

Actually this song was written by John Denver. :/

  • GImmes are rad but sloppy seconds puts this cover to shame

  • bout stinking time, i saw this on an episode of Fantasy Factory and fell in love with it!!! but i i couldnt find it anywhere.

  • LIKELIKELIKE

  • :P MOTHERFUCKING AWESOME!!!!!

  • love this song

  • I think I just might like the Mighty mos Def version the best...But John Denver laid the foundation for the countless who covered it....

  • @cassiuscluh - hence the term "cover."

Poor Mary Travers must be turning in her grave (rest her soul).

  • slighty stoopid version is way better

  • Not at all

  • @MonkeyMike96 totally disagree

  • This could've been the intro to the "Friends" tv show, lol.

  • @xxxMrSuspendedxxx Besides the fact that it does not fit the show at all, yes.

  • I love that picture of Fat Mike lol thats what i want to be for Halloween

  • John Denver crashed his plane.

  • Comment removed

  • Did you just say that John Denver didn't sing this? You're fucking nuts. He didn't WRITE it, no...but he definitely performed it. Get your fucking facts straight.

  • "Leaving on a Jet Plane" is a song written by John Denver in 1966 and most famously recorded by Peter, Paul and Mary. The original title of the song was "Oh Babe I Hate To Go" but Denver's then producer, Milt Okun, convinced him to change the title.

  • @300Z31 Get YOUR fucking facts straight. This song was written by John Denver.

  • fat mike is >god but he looks wierd on this picture

  • this song was used in a bing commercial

  • Yup. And their version of Stand By Your Man was in the movie Boat Trip. That was awesome.

  • The original is one of my jams at work.

  • nice your song i love it

  • ill be playing this when move back to hawaii

  • i miss my bhabe.. hoho!!ü

  • Awesome take on one of the best John Denver Classics!

  • EXACTLY what i was thinking

  • hahA he does

  • good good not bad

  • what a great cover of a great song!

  • WoOoOOOooo <3 =)

  • damn..this song is amazing.....there are so many different styles you can cover this song in.

    timeless!!

  • omg ive been trying to figure out who does this... thanks be to youtube

  • the original version is sad but this one cheers me up =]

  • Woot! What a fun cover. thanks for the post

  • Totally updated and today's version of a great song to begin with - the MORE I listen - the MORE I like...

Been in this situation in in past and the updated lyrics really help it.....

  • i love me first and the gimme gimme's

  • AMAZING. I have listened to the original for years, and recently I heard this on a commercial. I've been looking for it everywhere and found it randomly. What a coincidence!!

  • all in

  • sounds a lot like rancid but the bass isnt sweet enough(still pretty good) deff the gimmes

  • That's who I thought it was when I first heard it..

  • I love this version :)

  • Comment removed

  • Well you would be very wrong...... Trust me it's MFATGG!

    Sounds nothing like Mike....

  • that sounds nothing like mike herrera singing

  • This is not MxPx at all. The title is correct.

  • Aaaaa´right, that version REALLY rrrrocks!!! ^^

Hope 2 see them again soon on stage!

Thanx 4 posting here! *kiss kiss*

  • those are hella sick guitars. i want one

  • Slightly Stoopid also does a good cover of this song!!! :)

  • RANCID? Oh no no no no!!!! Never! MFATGG, 100%!

  • very very nice....... love it!!!

  • wtf rancid?!?! this is the 1st song from mfatgg's first cd

  • it don't sound like me first and the gimme gimmes...?

  • it's not rancid

  • sounds kinda like rancid's cover

  • love it

  • That´s better than the orginal!

    Very good!

  • These guys were one of the most underrate punk bands of the early 90s. Great stuff.

  • I like this version and the original.

  • its punk, who cares if it's horrible ...

  • not really sure how it's "punk" but whatever!!

  • it's punk rock you tool

  • ur a fag

  • better than the original

  • doesnt slightly stoopid make a cover of this? but it sounds way different!

  • i think the sloppy seconds punk version is better.

  • They are just a bullshit band fuckin off and having fun. Each member has a more serious career in another band, and that being said Swingin' Utters kicks ass!

  • rancid is on fat wreck, records. as is nofx, lagwagon, bad religion, me first, and a bunch of other punk bands.

So yeah, its possible different band members played on eachothers records.

  • wrong

  • wrong...bad religion is on epitaph...which is understandable since the guitar player owns epitaph...rancid is on hellcat which is tim armstrong and also bad religion`s guitar player label....

  • isnt hellcat tiger army too?

  • Freaking love this cover...soooo good

  • I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • when me first and the gimme gimmes did the show i saw (at warped) they had a bunch of different dudes from different bands playing. So if you think you hear another musician its possible. However if anyone knows Tim Armstrong's voice its way more raspy than this. It does sound like freeman on bass at the beginning so it can be deceiving

  • It's Fat Mike (NOFX) on bass, Joey Cape (Lagwagon) on guitar, Dave Raun (Lagwagon) on drums, Spike (Swingin' Utters) on vocals and Chris Shiflett (Foo Fighters) on guitar. So now you know all the different dudes from different bands ;)

  • กวนตีนใช้ได้เลยว่ะ

  • ooossssssssssssss. this song are veforite my band.. gud fobia band this are one song of my band.txn for getting the song

  • Spike is a dreamboat. But where's the video? Static image. Feh.

  • nonono
