and caused serious illness later in life, and in kanata's case, death

within a year after childbirth. yutaka is already showing sings of her

immune system being weak, and in the comics, konata comments that she

"hasn't grown even a single inch in over 3 years, upwards or outwards."

this idea has long since become noncannon,

due to fanbase outrage over a certan manga.

@Nazrat84 in the "certain manga" konata, who is now in her 30's, but still looks the same as always, has been enjoying her time with her loved ones, but realizes her time is running short. kagami is the only one who notices konata isn't as healthy as she used to be, and flat out asks konata what's up. konata tells her tale, and say's "sorry for stringing you along kagami~n-chan." they confess their feelings for eachother, lamenting the time they wasted, and travel the world till konata's death.

@Nazrat84 well, it WAS cannon, and made by the series creators, but it was SO hated by the fan base, for obvious reasons, that the manga, and the idea that konata and yutaka were sick, became non-cannon. this all happened years ago, back when this series was still in it's prime, and it's kind of taboo to speak of these days.

personally, I enjoyed it, it was nice to see the two of them get together.

and seeing what happened to all of the girls after they graduated was pretty sweet.
