We already have a form universal health care. That is why the cost for our health care is so high. We pay for those who can't, don't or won't pay for there health care bills. If the government takes over, the costs will go even higher because government is HORRIBLE with controlling costs.

Also, Americans pay more for their health care than in any other developed nation. And all the other developed nations have single payer health care.
You been livin' under a rock? Any person without insurance and/or money simply goes to the ER and gets free health care. That's why those of us who do pay our bills pay $6k-7k a day for hospitaization.

Not true. Two things happen. First, the hospital can reduce the amount. They have "special programs" that can cut the cost in half if you can't pay.
Second. Tons of people never pay their hospital bills. The cost is put on the people who do pay. Look it up.
