You need to get a USB to Ethernet adapter for wired internet.

The ports on the top are for GameCube controllers and one of the USB ports is used if you have an adaptor that allows you to connect your Wii via ethernet to your router.

the bar thing you took out of the box is called a sesor bar and on tthe frount of the wii you can put in a sd card under the flap and on the top of the system are ports for the gamecube memory cards and controllers and the usb ports on the back is where you can plug in wii speak or an wiimote charger and any other accessory's. Congrats on you wii and you and your sister will have a lot of fun and i would love to have it in black also but i have never seen it in black.

During this economic downturn, not everyone can always afford everything right away when it comes out. In all honesty its great that you can have a Wii and a PS3 and have a choice of which one to play. But not everyone can do that, and you must realize that.

Awesome Video, I would think that the USB ports are simply for peripherals, just like on the Playstations 3 & 2. Things like cameras, microphones, and ethernet adapters. But great unboxing. How much are wii's now anyways?
