the thing that i like about clare and kc's relationship was that its not superficial compared to kc & jenna. with clare & kc, they're both young freshman who are exploring what it means to have feelings for one another. It was not just physical attraction, but by discovering each others likes & dislikes, past & present. season 8 showed that for those two.

and with clare, being a sheltered individual, brought more meaning to the relationship with more discovery.
