Much child poverty is created by poor parenting skills. Many (not all) spend £ on the wrong things, fags, booze, drugs etc.... this puts their kids in poverty. We should be educating parents on what to spend and what not to spend £ on. A new way of providing welfare support should be looked at vouchers etc, food parcels, clothing. Many parents look after their own needs first with childrens state handouts and the kids go without.
