Why do you lip grasp the pick in the beginning? Just hold the pick with your thumb and ring finger and when it comes time to use the pick, switch to the (middle finger and thumb) VH pick grasp. Its much easier and prevents accidents like dropping or fumbling with the pick. Never put a guitar pick in your mouth. Good effort though.
