@Visuder Just in 2008 SK gaming made 13,293 dollars, now thats not including there contracts thats only in the DOTA tourneys.. you need to understand that SK-gamings DOTA team is making the money to live on. Because they get more money on top of that with sponsors and managers paying them. So YES you do make a living off of playing DOTA. None of that team had jobs, there only job was to play DOTA. Euro/Asia teams do make the money to live off gaming.

it was a different game back then, instead of calling it DotA my team and I used to call it SUPER CRAZY BOTTLE BLINK DAGGER MADNESS FUN cuz basically the only items u would buy on MOST heroes were bottle boots blinks dagger tp scroll and then the game would be one crazy gank fest with 1 carry hero per team, now people dont even have to play carry heroes cuz of items like phase boots and heroes lke kunkka who can produce high physical DPS (cuz of tidebringer) and has aoe stuns
